I get to fence today! Of course, I haven't fenced in almost two years, thanks to a medical condition that we're still not sure what it was, or why, but I've been released from my durance vile (aka, not fencing) and I'm off to practice in 45 minutes! I'm so excited! But there are still things to do today, and it's a pretty long list, so I want to make sure I'm on task when I come back.

To do today:
- Morning pages
- Do dishes

- 3 loads of laundry
- Put away laundry in the dining room that's already folded
- Make Pork and Stuffing Casserole for the Week
- Roast Beets - no, beets went bad, because I forgot about them. *sigh*
- Make Shephard's Pie for the week
- Make Apple Crisp Pie for the week (maybe)
- Make bread
- 250 words on Last Rites
- Fencing Practice
- Make 22 balls of Garlic-Parmesan Butter for Crown
- Make 22 balls of Honey Butter for Crown

- Clean off dining room table

In no particular order, of course. Now, time to finish my tea and go do the dishes.
Among other things. It is also laundry day, soup day and clean the kitchen and dining room day. But first and foremost, it is study day.

With that in mind, here is the to-do list:

- Study for Biology exam
* Finish Chapter 3, do study sheet and take practice test
* Read Chapter 18, do study sheet and take practice test

* Read Chapter 19, do study sheet and take practice test
* Read Chapter 20, do study sheet and take practice test
- Do Laundry
- Make soup
- Do Dishes
- Shred TBS pile in the dining room
- 500 words on Rites
- Send Court Report for Baronial Birthday (sigh)
- Balance checkbook

Not as bad as it looks. Off to start laundry and then settle in with biology book.

Today is my first day SD (sans Donna) - hopefully I'll be okay.

I'm uber-busy today, so I need to post my list. Right now, I'm watching Numbers on the DVR, finishing breakfast and getting ready for my day. Here's my list to do:

1. Empty my car from Harpers
2. Get 2 loads of laundry done
3. Vacuum the downstairs

4. Do the Dishes from Harpers (not many, but it's hard to wash dishes with no water)
5. Clean off living room table.
6. Make dinner (caprese salad, roasted garlic marinated steak and something starchy)

7. One crit for DII (trying for one a day - we'll see)
8. 500 words on Magic Chapter
9. Start Prologue
10. 1 favor for Gabriella
11. Email Chrystie Terry
12. Update my Calendar

Lots of stuff. Getting busy now.
- Get together all the index terms and line edits for Grimoire and ship them off
- Read UNNATURAL and get crit to [livejournal.com profile] irysangel
- Finish editing Revelation and send it back to author
- Survive a 52-hr work week at the day job
- work more on SB
- Try to finish sane

No problems.
Getting a start on my To-Do list...

- 5k on Dreams
- 5 chapters on Revalations
- Editing essay for NaNoEdMo
- checkbook
- bills
- get car from work

Good thing I wasn't planning on doing anything else tomorrow. *insert eyerolling here*

Edit One: Well, it's 10 pm on Saturday and damn, I got a lot done! Now on to the actual writing! :p
To Do:

- edit 38 pages of Alien Revelation - made 14 pages
- 750 words on Belladonna Dreams - done!
- work on the outline for episode 1 of Broken Wings
- 1 handwritten page on the freewriting for Sleeping Beauty
- work on idea for erotic short I had earlier.
Decided not to go to Walmart last night, and the bank didn't have any deposit envelopes. *sigh* Given the way my night was going, I promptly gave up, went home, took a LONG, HOT bath and went to bed.

Today started off HORRIBLY.

I did get to clean out my car, and still couldn't find the cell phone. Minor meltdown, relieved by promising myself that I would get ahold of SIL when I got back and would find out one way or the other if I had to get a new cell phone. Then went to the bank - and found that I had forgotten both debit card AND checkbook. Went into bank and deposited money.

Went to Joann's and got gorgeous burgundy fleece for [livejournal.com profile] argus7hills's Father Christmas coat for Saturday. No hunter green, bah. But the burgundy is beautiful, and I got white silky furry fleece to do the trimming with. Matching thread and we were good to go.

Checked at the D'Angelos I had stopped at on Saturday, on the off-chance that I'd dropped the phone there. Nope.

Back at home, got a hold of the SIL - yup, the phone is on an extended vacation in Maine. *sigh* If you've called me since Saturday, well, I won't get the message until maybe Tuesday. Just so you know.

Got the jacket cut out (except the sleeves, which is tomorrow's project) and the gores pinned. Was home for a bit during lunch, and [livejournal.com profile] argus7hills tried it on - fit wonderfully! Yay! There will be a marathon sewing session tomorrow. :)

Tonight is writing. I got almost 3k done yesterday at the hospital during my transfusion, so I want to get some more done tonight.

Oh, and [livejournal.com profile] jaylake has a great article on discipline in writing. Check it out.
- Get [livejournal.com profile] argus7hills's tire fixed
- Call dentist
- Call my doctor
- Call Dell
- Grocery shopping

Ain't life thrilling? :p
And hold her and rock her and everything!

Did I mention I have a six-week-old niece and she's ADORABLE?? :) We gots pictures too, but I'll get those later.

So, on the to-do list tonight:

1. Set up October writing sheet and figure out September totals and YTD totals.
2. 20 pages of critting on Bike Week
3. Character sheet (Shaitel) for Broken Wings

4. 1K on Dark Moon Seasons
5. Find a good baked french toast recipe
6. do shopping list for the week

Guess I'd better get cracking.

ETA: Just need my 1k on Seasons. And it's only 1 am. I can do this in an hour! I can!

( Sep. 30th, 2006 06:05 pm)
A lot.

However, now that I'm doing feeling sorry for myself, it's time to do some work.

To Do Tonight:

- balance checkbook
- pay bills
- tweak budget for the two bills that just came up

- character sheet for Wings
- 1k on Seasons

So, I had another idea attack me the other day, and the more I think about it, the more I really want to write it. It's "Pretty Woman" meets "Amityville Horror," with bits of "Dark Angel" and "Buffy" thrown in.

Doesn't that sound cool?

Got my first eBay purchase in the mail! It's "The DC Guide to Writing Comics" by Danny O'Neill. It's AMAZING - and full of comics. :D I'm getting very excited by this. Really. But Danny has a bunch of cautions about rushing the comic, and I know myself enough to know that if I short myself on the character/story development, I'll end up doing a MAJOR rewrite. So, despite the fact that my artist is CHOMPING at the bit to get moving, I'm going to keep doing the prewriting work I know needs to be done.

Also need to start working on two more outlines: Descent into Darkness and Last Rites. I do not want myself written into a corner.

Mental Note to self:

Do not take NyQuil on the night before you actually want to get up before 1 pm in the afternoon. *sigh*

I'm so used to having the caffeine in my system slow down the NyQuil that I didn't stop to think what would actually happen when I took it, without the caffeine.

Soooo, needless to say, I did not get everything done that I wanted to today.

I did get Ekk's knife mailed to him, and got dinner made (which meant I got the grocery shopping done). However, I didn't make it to the gym, nor did I get the laundry picked up.

So that's on the schedule for tomorrow.

With the help of the lovely and talented and patient [livejournal.com profile] snitchcat, who let me ramble on about the end of the book until I got it right, I finished the outline for Dark Moon Seasons. And I'm HAPPY with the ending! Yay!

Now, of course, I need to write the book. Bah. :p

That's tomorrow. My cold and I are going to take a bath so the NyQuil can take effect, and then go to bed.

My to-do list for tomorrow includes:

- print out the remainder of the outline
- mail Ekk's pocketknife
- swim
- grocery shopping (Baby Shrimp and Angel Hair pasta for dinner!)
- put away laundry
- write!

Under the heading of "write!" are two items:
- 1k on Seasons
- Chas' sheet

I need to get more serious about my writing time. And instead of puttering on the web, I need to write. So that's going to be my goal.
vg_ford: (sophisticated)
( Sep. 10th, 2006 09:48 pm)
To write tonight:

1. Character sketch for Rhiannon (Broken Wings)
2. 1k on Dark Moon Seasons

That's it. If I can do that, I'll be happy.

ETA: Well, I finished Rhiannon. And forgot to drink any caffeine today, so I'm crashing and sleepy, and heading to bed. But I got Rhiannon done.

Go me!

- unload car
- update LJ with word count from yesterday
- sort laundry
- pay rent

More later.

ETA 1: Got the checkbook stuff done (except writing the rent check, since the checkbook is down in the car). Now to go and make dinner and empty said car, then sort laundry. Busy, busy! I might even get to write tonight! :D

Got lots to do this week - with Harper's next weekend, I need to get all our stuff in order! And make more ornaments! And finish that bottle!

Oh yeah, and I need to write! :p

So here's the list for today:

2. Reassemble Dreams to the new outline
3. 1k on Dreams

( Aug. 19th, 2006 06:33 pm)

This means that you cannot run for four days on approximately 10 hours of sleep, and drive for 6+ hours at a time. Just so you know.

Well, I have officially taken a recovery day today. I called in sick to work, because well, my hair hurts. That's how tired I am. And that's after a 3+ hour nap when I got back from dropping the car off at o-god thirty 7:30 am this morning in Northwood, so it could get a new timing belt.

I stopped and got stuff for dinner, came home and said, "I'll just take a two-hour nap." At 3.5 hours, I hauled my ass out of bed, found my cell phone and gave up. Literally. Called in and told them I would be in tomorrow. Then stared at the tv for 10 minutes before I realized it wasn't on.

Oh, yeah. Definitely NOT a day to be in work.

So here's my list of what I would like to accomplish today. The only critical one is Number 8. For obvious reasons.

To Do List:

1. Update LJ
2. Do at least 2 hours of editing on vampire book

3. 1k in Seasons
4. Balance Checkbook
5. Start Rhiannon's character sheet
6. 1k in Dreams
7. 2 summaries for June

ETA: Got a few things done. Also got about 300 words in Seasons before I crashed. But today, I'm rarin' to go! Go me!

( Jul. 9th, 2006 12:56 pm)
Okay, so I have all today to make my 5K goal for the weekend, so I can go to the beach on Wednesday. :D Yup, forgot I had plans on Monday, silly me (thank you, [livejournal.com profile] amcnh for the reminder!!!), so if I get my 5k today, I get to spend all of Wednesday at the beach. And it's supposed to be 81 degrees F and SUNNY! I can't wait.

I have banana bread coming out of the oven in about 10 minutes. Healthy bread too - with olive oil (just a bit) and flax seed in it. Yummy, yummy.

So, here's the goals for today:

1. 4.5k on Seasons
2. More summaries for June

Just a few goals. I'd love to go and watch the Red Sox game, but I'm going to tape it, so I can watch it later. :)

Come and war with me in FM Chat if you'd like!
Today's to-do list:

- balance checkbook
- do bills
- summaries for June
- do some research for Broken Wings
- work on the Elephant House
- lay out the website

Bleah. I need about ten years to catch up. Really.

Off to the slave mines...

Updates on the To Do List:

- 2K on Dreams
Yup. Got a bit more, but finished the chapter. I am a cruel, cruel woman. It is good.

- Gym with [livejournal.com profile] argus7hills
Well, sort of. I went. He was tired (because he stayed up too late the night before) and napped instead.

- Start on laundry
Um. No. But I did pick up quarters!

- Pay bills
Yup. And sent out, even!

- Balance checkbook
Yup again. Wow, I feel so virtuous!

- work on website
Um. No. Nothing. *hides face in shame*

- start small beaded bottle (mostly likely while watching Red Sox with [livejournal.com profile] argus7hills)
Yup! And it's gonna be COOL, too. Blue and white Celtic spirals. I will post pictures when completed.

All in all, not bad. Up over 13k now - will post more tomorrow.

And my boys won! Go Curt! 3-0!!!

*happy snoopy dance*

Now time for bed. Game's at 12:30 pm tomorrow, so I might be around after that. Dunno.
