I have got to start posting daily metrics again. Starting now.

Word Goal for the day: 750 - made 839

Starting line: I had no idea how long it had been since I closed my eyes – there was no sun, and Claire was still scowling down at me.

Ending line: “She was skinned, Maggie.” I shuddered. “Not a few cuts. There was barely any flesh left on her body. What happened?”

Darling: I could feel Maggie next to me, solid and reassuring. A rock. And I was falling off, slipping down into a swirling darkness that had very little of substance in it.

The good news: made my word count today.

The bad news: I'm still short of where I should be for novel_in_90. Yes, I reported for mocking. *sigh*

I'm at 15423 as of this point. I should be at 21000. So this weekend is the push to get caught up.

This weekend is also the push to get the novel I'm editing more than 1/2 way done. Good thing I'm bringing Merlin to my friend's Superbowl party (because I could care less about the Superbowl). I'll hopefully get more done there too.

Here's the novel_in_90 bar so far:

I can do this. I really can.

Oh yeah, and I made a bit of progress on High Caste Faeries vs. Low Caste Faeries at work, but I'll write that in tomorrow.

I'm running a bit further behind than you for novel_in_90, so don't feel too bad. (And yes, I owned up to it on the four week status thread.)
