(christmas) Cookie Poll...

Because one of the "good for me" things I'm going to do is take a Saturday and go nuts baking cookies, I thought I'd see what kinds of cookies you guys are craving.

[Poll #1307498]

Chocolate mint cookies--'cuz everything's better with chocolate and mint!

[identity profile] vg-ford.livejournal.com 2008-12-01 09:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I am working. I'm in training. :p

And yeah, chocolate mint cookies are yummy too.

Ah yes, sweet gingercephalopods... a childhood favorite...

[identity profile] vg-ford.livejournal.com 2008-12-02 01:52 pm (UTC)(link)
You have to understand the childhood I had... :p Remember, I was the one who made the Christmas village with Cthulthu in the church....

What about snickerdoodles in the shape of cephalopods?

[identity profile] vg-ford.livejournal.com 2008-12-02 01:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I GUESS you could - I always thought snickerdoodles were drop cookies, though....

[identity profile] tieshla.livejournal.com 2008-12-02 09:42 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't think so - at least not the way I remember making them.

But even so - I'm sure with practice you could get shapes out of them...

[identity profile] starlitears.livejournal.com 2008-12-03 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
they are drop in my household

[identity profile] vg-ford.livejournal.com 2008-12-03 01:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm, maybe I WILL make snickerdoodle cephalopods this year....Just for the challenge. :p

baklava counts as a cookie. I swear.

[identity profile] vg-ford.livejournal.com 2008-12-02 01:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Agreed!!!!!

Ginger bread, which I answered in the pole, but also molasses cookies. It is the one cookie recipe that I refuse to make "healthier" like I have with the others.

[identity profile] vg-ford.livejournal.com 2008-12-02 01:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Oooh, I love molasses cookies.

[identity profile] magicnoire.livejournal.com 2008-12-01 10:24 pm (UTC)(link)
I checked sugar cookies because you can never go wrong with sugar cookies but I also like gingerbread cookies very much.

[identity profile] vg-ford.livejournal.com 2008-12-02 01:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh yes. I like all the cookies I put up there. :p

[identity profile] lt260.livejournal.com 2008-12-02 05:25 am (UTC)(link)
Shortbread Cookies from assorted cutouts wherein you get to add your favorite colored icing and sprinkles.

McGeeger's Favorite: a coco-powder, peanut butter, and coconut concoction that required lots of stiring but no baking.

Oatmeal-Raisin-Molasses -- not so much for Xmas but an anytime cookie that is still my favorite. Not as easy to make as one might think because the correct balance has to be achieved. Too much this or that spoils the dough. The zen of cookies insists on happy harmony leading to yummos.
