(random) Some days, it just doesn't pay to chew through the straps....

I hate Mondays after a holiday weekend. Especially when the weather is gorgeous outside, and I can't take VTO because I'm poor and need the money. Bah. Makes me sick.

Of course, the fact that I'm STILL not writing has nothing to do with this crankiness. Nothing at all.

Bah.

I stopped at the library tonight and picked up Writing Down the Bones and The Artist's Way in hopes of stifling my internal editor. That's my big problem - I have ideas, but when I get to putting words down, I decide they're horrible and delete them.

Sucks to be me. Damn, I need a vacation.

July 31st cannot come fast enough.

Hey hon, would you like my copy of The Artist's Way? The Way takes a while to go through, and I'm not using mine. You could keep it as long as you wanted, unlike a library book that has to go back in two weeks.

I don't know yet. I picked it up from the library because I wanted to see if it will help before spending the money on it. I have it until August 3, and I can renew it twice more, so we'll see. I want to read it first.

But thanks. :) *hugs* I really appreciate it.

::HUGS::

Don't delete. Things usually look better later.

Yeah, I need to remember that. Sadly, they have been looking just as bad when I go back to them.

Just remember that, when you feel this way, you're probably not the one to judge. At least, that's the way it is with me.

If you need a cheerleader, I am so here. I often wish for someone to keep me going. :)

I know what you mean. A friend, who is depressed while dealing with being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, and I are working through the Gotham Writers' Workshop Writing Fiction together in the hopes of breaking our blocks. If we finish that and need more we have Creating Short Fiction by Damon Knight. I know that writing is work and words don't just flow out of the pen, but good lord, it shouldn't be this hard.

Ugh, good luck to your friend - RA SUCKS. And let me know how you like the Gotham book - that was another one recommended to me.
