I've heard that anyone can be a writer - but to be an author, you have to be dedicated. Writers write when they have the time, or "The Muse" strikes, or they have nothing better to do. Authors write every day: whether or not they have time; whether their muse is being wonderful or a spoiled brat; whether they are exhausted or dying of the flu. Even if it's only for 10 minutes or 100 words, authors write.
Well, I'm an author, dammit. So despite the fact that I am exhausted and nearly asleep at my keyboard, I am going to get my 500 words in tonight. Especially since yesterday, my writing time was pre-empted for the Sidekick meeting (which was very productive - this next book is going to be even better than Companion!) and I only got 200 words written. So I'm going to start working on the pyschos - er, villains of Belladonna - I need a break from Puck.
Will update later...
