A Light Through the Darkness

Happy birthday to my Dad (who hates the computer, but oh well) and to m_stiefvater! Hope your day is awesome!

Today is my day off from the day job, which means it's catch up! I slept until 9 am, and have already done my email, yelled at the cat, handed out scroll assignments for Birka, ordered tea from Twinings and eaten breakfast. Now, to tackle my to-do list:

1. Morning Pages
2. Read Chapter 2 in Wills, Estates and Trusts
3. Call Dad
4. Do dishes
5. Clean off dining room table
6. Reorder Meds
7. Make eye doctor appointment
8. Return library book and pick up Shades of Milk and Honey
9. Write at least 250 words on Last Rites
10. Call doctor for refills on prescriptions
11. Make dinner
12. Stop at college and ask for tuition reimbursement forms

I think that's it right now. I'm out of the house at 3 pm to pick up beard5 for the library trip, and then dropping off hubby's car at Best Buy at 4:30 pm to have his automatic starter installed. I'll have 3 hours to write at the mall (don't know if I'll have wifi, but doesn't matter) while I wait for that.

What else is new? :p

Life continues. It is busy. I am grumpy.

But I wrote 1k of Rites last night, so all is not lost. I'm not sure quite where it is, but I have been assured it is not lost.

Because I had a lazy Saturday. :P

Nextly, a to-do list. This one should be entitled "The house exploded, again, but this time there are Christmas lights on it."

1. Finish Three Ships!
2. Dishes
3. Sort plastic containers
4. 2 loads of laundry
5. Dinner plan for the week
6. make dinner tonight (pork chops, noodles and roasted maple squash)
7. Vacuum the living room and dining room
8. Wrap Christmas presents
9. Finish decorating tree?

That's enough. I'd like to get my grocery shopping done too, but we'll see. I don't HAVE to shop until tomorrow if necessary.

Okay, onward and upward, as my father would say.

Tonight, I'm going to finish Snow - despite the fact that I left BOTH copies of the main file at work. It's sitting on my desk. *headdesk*

So I write (since I have the last 5 pgs printed out and the summary as well), and then I email it to my editor tomorrow night. Wish me luck - I'm going in!

And while that's not normally something I celebrate, today is a pretty awesome day, even though it's raining, cold and I'm sick.

Himself and I went and saw "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" today for his birthday before I went to work.

I've got a bunch to do as well today, so here's the to-do list:

1. 1 favor for Gabriella (I've only got 2 more to do, then I can send them back to Her Excellency)
2. 1k on Sacrifices
3. 1k on Chapter (and actually, OOTP has given me some ideas on this as well)

Not a huge amount. I want to get some on Seasons done as well, but Sacrifice is due first, so...
