That's the sound of me falling over. It's been a long weekend, and it's going to be a LONG week. So this is my update - don't expect to see a lot of me in the next week.

WORK
We're on OT starting Tuesday. Here's my schedule for the week:

Monday: 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
Tuesday: 8:30 am to 7:00 pm
Wednesday: 8:30 am to 8:30 pm
Thursday: 8:30 am to 7:00 pm
Friday: 8:30 am to 8:30 pm

And next Monday is 8:30 am to 8:30 pm again. *sigh*

WRITING
Dreams continues apace. I have a good plot basis for Snow that I'm going to try and work on this week. And thanks to my darling younger brother, I have a plotbunny that is basically Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade meets Stargate SG-1, with a bit of Lord Peter Whimsy thrown in. I will write it, with him, eventually. We're thinking three books.

WEIGHT
I have a call in to a nutritionist. As I've mentioned before, the Crohns' makes losing weight difficult. I'm going to do it, though. I can't continue on like this. The goal this week, in addition to eating breakfast every morning at home, is to take lunch every day.

WEEKEND
The wedding rocked. It was fun to see everyone - my cousin Mel got married in a lovely faerytale wedding Saturday night, and we partied the way only my family can. This morning, we went over to my grandfather's house and celebrated the Pumpkin's 2nd birthday. She was in her glory and got lots of stuff and was adorable, as always. It was good to see the family; we don't get down to CT often enough.

Now I need to get busy cooking. There's a pizza I made for lunch tomorrow, but I need some more stuff to take to work to chew on. I want to make a bread tonight. I've got enough zucchini, after all! And yes, [livejournal.com profile] domynoe, I'm working on yours too! Hopefully, I'll have two minutes to breathe this week to send your box out.

Wish me luck, folks, I'm going to need it!
Wow, where did my weekend go??? Seriously. I'm putting in an order for about 24 more hours each weekend. I'll let you know when I get it. >.<

Val is in an odd mood today - beware.

I got a bunch done this weekend, with help from the hubby. Saturday we went and got Steingrim safely married off to his lady - it was a great wedding, and there were no polearms in sight. :)

Sunday, I got up and found the second couch in my living room, then left to go shopping while [livejournal.com profile] argus7hills started laundry and did dishes. I went out with Mom and Dad to check prices for food for [livejournal.com profile] aishabintjamil's wedding, then went and bought my new freezer and grocery-shopped for the week. Then I came home, did a few loads of laundry and wrote a bit. I got 401 words yesterday - sooo close to 40k. I have a feeling this draft is going to max out at 80k, but that's okay. I already have at least one scene to add in later.

My happiness list for today:

1. Green grass! I did - I saw green grass (alive, too!) today. Yay!

2. Buying a new outfit for my niece. It's adorable - pink polka dots and jean capris. I love little girl clothes.

3. Opening day at Fenway tomorrow! I cannot wait. I hope I can get out early enough to hear it. :p Yes, I am a geek. And no, I'm not worried yet. Talk to me in July.

4. Gym! I went to the gym this morning and got 20 minutes on the treadmill. And the knee didn't twinge too much (yes, I wore my brace).

5.Warmer weather - it's supposed to be 60 degrees F tomorrow!!!

What makes you happy today?
Happy March, everyone! This weekend I'm snowed in (bah, hiss, boo) on Saturday, so I'm looking forward to getting a lot done. No WoW until tomorrow night (maybe) - I played last night, so I got my fix for the week. :p Here's the list:

Saturday
- fold and put away laundry
- make a healthy dinner
- clean up iTunes so I can load the new iPod (which needs a name and is highly pastel)
- load up the iPod
- answer emails
- make cinnamon apples and pears for the week
- make shopping list and menu for the week
- make hotel reservation for Wednesday night
- write

Sunday
- go see Poor Harold (Master Harold von Auerbach for the scadians on my list) perform at the Silver Moon Creperie in Dover with [livejournal.com profile] argus7hills and Mom.
- go grocery shopping
- write
- make lunches for Monday
- prep dinners for the week

Lots to do! Wish me luck!

Weight today: 271 lbs.
Days without soda: 1 (yep, starting the detox today)

Well, the lock on my driver's side door decided not to work today - I had to unlock the other side, and work the lock for several minutes before I could get in. But I got in! And I made it to the gym only a little late.

Arms today. OMG, my arms are wussy. Seriously. I'm sore, in ways my legs weren't. And tomorrow, I start my full routine.

So, I'm doing 45 minutes, 3 times a week. I start with 10-20 minutes of cardio, then either 20 minutes of lower and abs or uppers and abs, then another 10-20 minutes of cardio. I will die for the first two weeks, I'm predicting.

But I will persevere! I shall!

Tomorrow is also Dick and Tanya's party. Mmm. Can't wait.

Sunday is laundry, writing, dishes, cooking, writing and taxes. Bleah. But I have the 18th off! Yay!

More later.
That I'm reusing headers, lol.

But it's been a long week. A very, very long week. Januarys in my line of work suck rocks, and we've been lit and steady all week. Between new plans for HW and W2s for payroll - well, it's been unfun.

But I have a long weekend this weekend, and I'm planning on doing a lot of writing. And cooking. And cleaning my house. And LAUNDRY.

Tomorrow is really the only day I have anything outside the house - I have writer's group. I even have stuff for it. :p Sunday, I'm supposed to go to fencing practice in the morning, but if I'm still draggy, I'm going to skip it. *yeah, I know, but I don't need to be sick right now* And Monday is just a lunch date that might not happen.

So the goals for the weekend are thus:

Food
1. Make more onigri
2. Make scones/muffins (haven't decided which)
3. Make pasta for the week
4. Plan out the meals for the week

Writing
1. Work out the question/answer sheet for Dreams
2. Start the retyping.

Sewing
1. Cut out 40 small bags from pattern and stitch them up on machine
2. Figure out a pattern for the book covers
3. Cut out 10 book covers and linings and stitch them

House stuff
1. Clean bathroom
2. Laundry
3. Clean living room
4. Clean off dining room table
5. Vaccum

Wish me luck, folks. I'm going in.

Well! This has been quite the weekend!

Yesterday, we had gaming on the porch with [livejournal.com profile] argus7hills and his buddies, while we had writers group in the living room. Lots of good feedback and good food (I made a roast pork with apples, garlic and onions, and lots of roasted root veggies. Then watched the Red Sox win Game 6 against the Indians, played a bunch of WoW and went to bed at around 4:30 am. Whew!

Today, I woke up to whooping - the guys were watching the Patriots beat Miami into the ground (yes, I slept that late). Cleaned up the kitchen and the dining room, then got down to the serious business of cooking.

I made:

- a cranberry pecan bread with soymilk (we ran out of regular milk)
- my first batch of onigri (yay!)
- a whole wheat pasta with garlic, roasted veggies and cheese and garlic sausage in a tomato sauce
- egg salad (and I tried a tea-stained egg! Very good!)

That's all so far. I've packed up bento lunches for [livejournal.com profile] argus7hills and I for tomorrow - I still have to pack my dinner bento for tomorrow, but I'm not sure what I want (besides onigri). I'm going to see, after the end of Game 7.

Now to work on [livejournal.com profile] argus7hills' halloween costume while watching the game.

More later.
Went to Cape Cod - forgot the Patriots played at home at 1 pm and got stuck in traffic for a bit (stupid people - don't you know the best way to watch the game is at home? Then you can actually HEAR the plays!), but it was a niceish day and I didn't mind too much.

Saw Nana and Aunt Anna and Uncle Stephan - Nana beat me 2 games to 1 in Scrabble (honestly, Goddess? Please let my mind be that sharp at 91!!!) and gave me a gorgeous pair of real opal earrings (yes, I get my love of opals from her, apparently). Anna also brought out some AWESOME pictures of Mom when she was little - oh, [livejournal.com profile] caitlindancer, she looked EXACTLY like you when she was a baby. EXACTLY. There is NO way you were adopted, sorry. :p

Speaking of Mom and Dad, they are now loose in Ireland. I apologize to all you out there in advance - they can be a bit of a natural force when they get going. Luckily, they should only be there for about 10 days, and then they'll come home (we hope. They tend to do things impulsively - I MIGHT get a call that says "Sell the house and pack up the cats - we're staying!" Then I'll really have to get my passport.)

Oh, and one more thing. I had to buy new jeans today. I was bumming - the scale wasn't kind this morning. Then I went to the store - and walked out with jeans a size SMALLER than I was wearing when I went in! Good day!

And I stopped at Whole Foods in Bellingham. Thank god I don't live closer to that place - I'd be broke. But wow!

Bed soon. Just need to catch up on my flist and WW.

My friend Donna, [livejournal.com profile] irysangel and I went to the Red Arrow Diner, which is a NH Landmark. It's a 24-hr diner that has some of the best food ever (we did get cheese fries. We resisted the deep fried sourdough french toast with bacon, though). We talked writing and novels and characters and stuff for about 3 hours, and then Donna and [livejournal.com profile] irysangel went back to Nashua, and I went to WalMart in Concord.

I got the cutest little Bissel vacuum - it works on hardwood floors AND carpets, is bagless and is SO light. I did most of the stairs and the living room today. YAY! A vacuum that works!!!

This morning, Evil Jocelyn met me at the Dartmouth DOC House, which is where we're holding Baronial Yule this year. It's a pirate theme this year (shocking, I know, since I'm running it and all) and I think we're going to have a BLAST. Then we went to lunch at Lou's (whole wheat grilled English muffins, topped with sliced tomato, steamed asparagus, two eggs over easy and melted fontina cheese, with fruit salad on the side) and then, once we were full, we went over to the King Arthur Flour Bakery Store and Outlet to browse. Um. Deadly. I got a tea strainer that just sits in your tea cup (so cool!), a gluten-free cookie mix, a gluten-free gingerbread mix and a bag of almond bark. Not bad, really.

I'm going to make the cookies and gingerbread tomorrow and bring them in for our team meeting, to see what people think. Jocelyn and I talked about a bunch of stuff to do for Yule, and one of the things I want to do is cookie decorating. [livejournal.com profile] lysystrata, are food colorings okay? Can I just use the little tubes from the regular grocery store, or do I need to get special ones? Thanks in advance!

Jocelyn talked about maybe doing a pirate castle out of gingerbread - I'm thinking that would be cool for the kids to decorate - maybe they could trade it for Father Christmas? Hmm, ideas!

There's a super hill for sledding too - I hope we have snow. I'd love to see the final battle for Father Christmas be a snowball fight.

Tomorrow, I'm going to print out Belladonna Dreams and start working on revisions. It's eating my brain - I can't help it.

Now back to beading.
But this too shall pass. I am attempting to Zen my way through the situation.

This too shall pass. Deep breath.

In other news, everyone keep your fingers crossed. I'm hoping for good news in approximately 2 weeks. As soon as I have news, I'll let you all know.

This weekend promises to be interesting. I'm cleaning my sewing room. I'm doing massive amounts of laundry. I want to bake. And, of course, I'm going to write.

That is, if I don't get REALLY irritated and throw it all over to go to New York for Saturday.

[livejournal.com profile] watermelontail, you want a guest (in case Deb doesn't?)? I might need to get away and drive for a bit.
I'm in training. It's training for something I already know, so I'm bored beyond tears. However, it does get me off the phones, so I suppose I shouldn't complain.

Went home early last night because I was exhausted. Didn't really sleep well, so I'm STILL exhausted. I don't knoww what's going on, but I think I'm going to take it easy this weekend so I can get over whatever this is.

No IR receiver yet. *sigh* Hopefully it will show up this weekend. If not, I'll have to order another one. *bleah*

Stuffs to do this weekend:

- Cut out tunics for Argus and stitch together
- Cut out dresses for me and stitch together. Must remember to make one chiton for the Pirate party at Pennsic.
- write rough draft of nonfic chapter on magical creatures
- write more on seasons (try for 4 chapters)
- clean house
- hypnotherapy session on Sunday
- Dinner on Sunday with our petsitter for the week (we have a friend who's going to live at our place while we're at Pennsic.)
- go to farmer's market on Saturday

That's it. Goddess, I'm exhausted, and it's only 4:30 pm!!!

I'm so tired. I literally slept until 11 am this morning, despite the fact that my to-do list is a mile and a half long. I just couldn't go anymore.

Needless to say, writing has been minimal this week. As in, non-existant. Hopefully I'll have more this weekend - I'm pretty much taking Sunday off. I've been getting in at roughly 2 a.m. this entire week. It sucks.

Tomorrow, I have to be in at work at 8:30 a.m. (yes, I do work nights and yes, I did say "a.m."), so I can be in Rhode Island for testing on time. Sucky that I have to get up, but it's good for me, and I'll get dinner with [livejournal.com profile] argus7hills tomorrow night. Yay!

Saturday is clean the old apartment day. Donna and Jess are being kind enough to come over and help sandblast clean with me. Then I'm off to writer's group at [livejournal.com profile] aishabintjamil's, where I shall inflict bring the new opening to Seasons. Hopefully, they like it.

Sunday, Mom and Dad are coming over for dinner for Mother's Day. I'm planning Garlicky Lamb Chops with a Lemon-Rosemary Vinagrette, Couscous with Peas, Biscuits and Garlic Broccoli for dinner, with Pecan Caramel Bites for dessert. I hope they'll like it. :D

And then...it's Monday again! yay.

Hope all the moms out there have a great Mother's Day!

Lots and lots of stuff happened. I even wrote some.

Not a lot, mind you, but some.

Went to ME to see my brother, sister-n-law and niece, and do my first official Partylite party. Didn't go too bad - gotta get Sonya some more orders, but I think I can do it.

Lily is adorable, of course. She's smiling now, and babbling, and perfectly content to be the center of everyone's universe. :)

And I saw snow this morning!! Real snow! Of course, it's gone now, but anyways. :p

More later - I have to process the rest of it.

I suppose I should be making one of these.

I kind of have one, sort of. I'm that Type B personality - I "keep it all in my head," and work around anything I might have forgotten.

Oh yeah, I married a Type A, so he usually brings what I forget. ;) (Love you, [livejournal.com profile] argus7hills!)

Seriously, most of our stuff is ready to go. I just need to make GARB.

Lots and lots of garb.

My sewing machine may spontaneously combust this weekend.

We'll see.

So I'm refusing to worry.

Per the Weather Channel:

Since my new garb is now done, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's not POURING all weekend!
