I'm in early again - I've been really lucky with traffic, so despite waking up late (I really, really need to remember to either take the 24-hr allergy meds, or take another 12-hr med at night, because this waking up at 3 am unable to breathe because of snot in my nose is NOT cool), I'm still in with plenty of time to eat breakfast and finish waking up. AND I managed to hit the grocery store, so I could restock my bread, peanut butter and jam at work (Yes, I live on PBJ sandwiches sometimes. Welcome to my life).

Things I wish I could remember BEFORE I leave my house in the morning:

1. That I have microwavable steel-cut oats for oatmeal, so I could have a hot, fast breakfast. (I should leave the package on the counter the night before. With a bowl. Maybe then I'd remember.)

2. That tea from the coffeepot is damn hot and takes forever to cool.

3. That I need sneakers to exercise.

I'm heading to Craft Night tonight, so I might (if I'm remembering correctly and have sneakers in the car) stop at the Planet Fitness in Manchester and do some biking before I head to Deerfield. Yay black ticket membership!

I also have homework to do, and I really should get cracking on that packing list. I'm hoping [livejournal.com profile] woadchic will help me with my new pattern tonight - I'd like to get it cut out so I can hopefully start whipping up some new garb tomorrow night. Yay new garb! We'll see.

Had an odd dream last night, where I was a multitude of different people - but each person was the same thing: a demon hunter. I could tell when the demons were around because I'd get this awful pain in my chest. It's an interesting concept (nope, never actually SAW the demons, but I knew they were there!) and I might noodle with it a bit today. I'm in that kind of noodling phase.

Now, on to work! 13 days and counting to Pennsic!

Have hit the "OMGQUESTISINAWEEKANDIHAVENOGARB!" shock pattern. Sewing trim onto vest and plotting garb for me in my head.

Oh, and have to do homework tomorrow too. Ack!

I suppose I should be making one of these.

I kind of have one, sort of. I'm that Type B personality - I "keep it all in my head," and work around anything I might have forgotten.

Oh yeah, I married a Type A, so he usually brings what I forget. ;) (Love you, [livejournal.com profile] argus7hills!)

Seriously, most of our stuff is ready to go. I just need to make GARB.

Lots and lots of garb.

My sewing machine may spontaneously combust this weekend.

We'll see.
Because I've been sewing and freaking out. :)

Got garb done today (yes, [livejournal.com profile] caitlindancer, I will have NEW garb for Midsummers! *gasp*) - my new dancing caftan and pants. I love Nedra's patterns - sooooo easy. I think the only thing I'm going to change on the next set is I'm going to drop the crotch on the pants a bit - I like mine higher on my hips. But that's it. I made dancing pants and a caftan in about 2.5 hours. In silk cotton - soooo light and soft! I'm very happy with them - now they just need trim. Too bad [livejournal.com profile] freya46 only had pastel fruity colors for it - I'd have gotten [livejournal.com profile] argus7hills some and made him some shirts, but really, they aren't his colors. ;)

Looking forward to this weekend - gotta roast some garlic tomorrow for a yummy marinade for steak this weekend. Here it is:

Ingrediants:
2 heads of garlic, roasted
1 cup orange juice
1/2 cup spicy mustard
4 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon thyme

I have some lemon thyme growing out on my balcony that I'm going to use in this - I'll let you all know how it tastes!
I did get some stuff written this weekend, believe it or not. :)

Got some good stuff hashed out about Broken Wings - my collaborator is a GENIUS and I can't wait to see how these come out. I'll be working on that more in the coming days.

Also got more words on Dreams. I'm starting to get into the part where Sapph is becoming (slowly) convinced that she might have, just possibly, lost her mind. While it's fun to write, I'm having to exert a lot of control on her so she doesn't blather mindlessly.

I'm also looking at updating the website (I know, about time, Ford! Geez, get with the program already!) Since I have to regretfully admit that I don't have time to HTML everything, I'm looking at this program: http://www.coffeecup.com/html-editor/

My webmistress has given it a tentative seal of approval (tentative because she hasn't used it) and at least one of my friends has set up his page with it. If anyone has used it, please let me know what you think! I should be downloading the free trial at some point this week or next.

Going over to Mason tonight for the craft night with [livejournal.com profile] amcnh and working on my new dress for Panteria. Yes, new garb! *claps hand over heart and staggers* I need new garb. I need to do something with all my fabric, so I can then tell [livejournal.com profile] argus7hills that I need to buy more fabric from [livejournal.com profile] freya46. :D

More later.
