Things to be happy about:

1. My Christmas shopping is DONE!!!

2. Getting out at 3 pm (yay, VTO)!

3. Anime hair and jeans that fit right out of the dryer.

4. I had time to drink a cup of Christmas tea and eat breakfast, AND wrap presents before I had to leave for work this morning. And no real traffic.

5. Friday with the boyo. Chinese food, new glasses, and then movies. We're sooo exciting. :p

Unfortunately, the Yankees are stealing Christmas again. Here's hoping the Curse continues to work its magic on them...
Wow, where did my weekend go??? Seriously. I'm putting in an order for about 24 more hours each weekend. I'll let you know when I get it. >.<

Val is in an odd mood today - beware.

I got a bunch done this weekend, with help from the hubby. Saturday we went and got Steingrim safely married off to his lady - it was a great wedding, and there were no polearms in sight. :)

Sunday, I got up and found the second couch in my living room, then left to go shopping while [livejournal.com profile] argus7hills started laundry and did dishes. I went out with Mom and Dad to check prices for food for [livejournal.com profile] aishabintjamil's wedding, then went and bought my new freezer and grocery-shopped for the week. Then I came home, did a few loads of laundry and wrote a bit. I got 401 words yesterday - sooo close to 40k. I have a feeling this draft is going to max out at 80k, but that's okay. I already have at least one scene to add in later.

My happiness list for today:

1. Green grass! I did - I saw green grass (alive, too!) today. Yay!

2. Buying a new outfit for my niece. It's adorable - pink polka dots and jean capris. I love little girl clothes.

3. Opening day at Fenway tomorrow! I cannot wait. I hope I can get out early enough to hear it. :p Yes, I am a geek. And no, I'm not worried yet. Talk to me in July.

4. Gym! I went to the gym this morning and got 20 minutes on the treadmill. And the knee didn't twinge too much (yes, I wore my brace).

5.Warmer weather - it's supposed to be 60 degrees F tomorrow!!!

What makes you happy today?

Yep, made it into work despite the snow. Went to bed early last night, AFTER getting everything done I needed to, and woke up at 5:30 to be into work by 7, so I wouldn't have to worry about traffic.

It's still snowing. And now the forcast is for more snow on Monday. *headdesk* I'm done!!!

Okay, things to be happy about:

1. Rent is paid! And I still have money left over! (not enough for my Neo this month, but that's okay. I have until Pennsic to get one)

2. The heavenly smell of my tea this morning: Island Mango and Peach white tea. MMMMmmmmm....

3. It's FRIDAY!!! And hopefully we'll be hanging out tonight at Strange Brew with friends.

4. I'm wearing low heels today. And the knee isn't bothered!

5. Got more written on Seasons last night - a sweet scene with Derek, who's getting more and more confused. :D

Today, I have a few things I want to accomplish:

- write (duh)
- reset the passwords on my online banking for the credit union (don't ask)
- finish my budget for April
- calendar for work for April
- writing calendar for April

What makes your Friday happy??

Oh, and [livejournal.com profile] shadawyn, I found a pattern last night to knit my own armwarmers. I'm seriously tempted to try them this summer, once I finish my scarf.
Did I mention that I forgot to put on my knee brace yesterday? Yeah, I was really sore by the time I got home (because I realized an hour into my trip that I'd forgotten it - I'm really NOT a morning person, although I'm learning to fake it pretty well) and I'm super sore this morning, mostly because I stayed up waay too late, but well, waah. Big girl panties and all that.

However, the chai is kicking in (and I might make another one at break - I have a soymilk stashed in my desk - LOVE THEM! Thank you so much, [livejournal.com profile] kuzushi for introducing me to them last year) and I'm not afraid to use it. :p

So, here's my list (I'll post metrics when I get home tonight, but I can tell you I'm over 26k at the moment and chugging along) of what's making me happy today:

1. Walking up to a sleepily-purring Sebastian kitten curled up next to me. Very happy! (they love the Magic Blanket(tm) - aka the electric heated blanket that yes, is still on my bed)

2. The sun is shining, and it's going to be in the 40s today! Bye, bye, snow! I'm done with you until next year!

3. Time this weekend to actually START my plants! I've been stalling because I don't want the cats to eat them if I have to keep them indoors for too long, but I think it might finally be time.

4. Words! Things are chugging along on Seasons - and I figured out a COOL packet for my workshop at RavenCon to hand out!

5. Chocolate fountain. Yep, the chocolate fountain is coming out this weekend. Gotta get stuff to dip in.

What's making you happy today?
It's 54 degrees outside and sunny. I love it! So invigorating!

Here's my list of things that made me happy today:

1. Finding out that the reason you're sitting in traffic is because there is a massive wild tom turkey taking his morning constitutional in the road ahead. Man, he was HUGE, and just taking his own sweet time getting across the road. It was hysterical.

2. Enjoying a Starbucks Soymilk Chai after finding out that apparently Dunkin Donuts isn't carrying Chai anymore! (BTW, WTF??? You know, there ARE people out there who enjoy hot beverages that AREN'T coffee or cocoa!!!)

3. Finding out that chivalry ISN'T dead, and that the kindness of strangers isn't a myth. I locked my keys in my car at the hospital, and one of the valets was able to pop the door to get it open...and wouldn't even accept a tip in thanks! Just tipped his hat at me and told me to have a nice day. Made my day!

4. Manny hitting #491 today. Yes, they lost. So what? Manny only needs 9 more long balls to hit 500!!!! Go Manny Go!

5. IT IS SUNNY AND RELATIVELY WARM TODAY!!!!! I feel hope that the snow will truly be gone someday soon.

Tonight (since I did some writing at the hospital today - I had a Remicade treatment so had some time on my hands), I need to do the following:

- make peanut noodles for lunch tomorrow
- do dishes
- put away laundry
- make cranberry bread
- write some more

Time to get cracking!
1. Listening to the Boston Red Sox play as I drove into work.

2. My daffodils are STILL alive and blooming!

3. Did I mention I got to eat breakfast and watch the Red Sox?

4. We're getting a new freezer tonight! Very, very cool (am already eying picnic packs at the really good meat store near Mom and Dad).

5. It's Opening Day!!!!

Nope. Not obsessed at all. Not me.

bonus happy thought for the day: The Red Sox beat the As in 10 innings, 6-5

Go Sox!
1. Not having to get up until 7:30 am! Yay for going in late!

2. A bento box full of new tea and chocolates.

3. Forgoing bad pizza at work for a salad with avocado, dried cranberries and raspberry vinagrette. Yummmm.

4. More daffodils blooming on my desk!

5. Double time and a half for working in my blue jeans and "Dirty Water" tee-shirt. And did I mention we could wear SNEAKERS too?

Hope you're having a great Friday!

Snitched from [livejournal.com profile] nightwolfrider:

New York times article on podcasting

I've never met Scott, but he's a co-DMP author, so kudos to him! Tee Morris is a good friend, though, and he's mentioned as well.

Great job, guys! And thanks to [livejournal.com profile] nightwolfrider for the link!
