Well, today was my infusion day. The vampires had a new vampire with them - she decided to give my major vein a "rest" and try another vein.

See, it's my major vein because, well, I ONLY HAVE ONE ACCESSIBLE VEIN! My veins are very small, and very deep, and very tempermental. So after she gave me a lovely bruise on my arm (yup, blew the vein with the first flush!), she decided to admit defeat and let a more experienced vampire get the line in.

For those who don't know, I get an infusion every 8 weeks for my Crohn's disease. It's not as bad as it seems - I come in at 10 am, get hooked up to the IV, plug in Merlin and work for several hours (usually until 1-2 pm), then go to work. They feed me lunch (meatloaf with gravy, mashed potatoes and spinach - yum! And chocolate ice cream...) and I can get a lot of work done. It's a good thing.

I got about 100 pgs edited on Tony's novel, which is good, because I'd like to get that back to him before I leave for Pennsic. Unfortunately, I had a major sinus migraine yesterday (thank you, Donna!), so missed a day of work AND a day of writing. Bah.

Tonight, I'm going to go to Walmart and get the walls for the dining fly (once I head home and get my checkbook - did I mention I flew out the door this morning?) and anything else I can think that I might need.

Tomorrow is cleaning and editing and stitching together the last of Argus' tunics (two more to machine stitch, then handstitching to hem, do the collar and add trim) and packing my basket. Oh, and playing with the kittens, who are convinced that we're leaving and NEVER COMING BACK. Talk about making me feel guilty....
