Yup, got 1613 tonight! Yay!
Here we go with the metrics:
Starting line: After they were safely back into the Shadow Lands, Nikki let loose the shakes she’d been holding in.
Ending line: For once, there hadn’t been any dreams to remember, of either Alex or Rick, and she felt marvelously rested.
Darling: “I don’t know what you’re trying to tell me, brain, but whatever it was, I think that was overkill,” she said shakily, reaching for a towel. “Either that, or I seriously need to get laid.”
Good things: Hot tub!
Mean things: Made Nikki feel guilty. Got her all hot and bothered too. Or is that a good thing?
Deaths: Nope.

There's a thread going on over in
mad_collective about outlining, and I posted the patented (tm) Val Method: plot summary (also called the vomit stage), major plot outline, chapter outline. That's incredibly anal for some people.
However, just because I have an outline doesn't mean I can't detour. Case in point: most of what I wrote today (stop drooling,
barlidoc and
mooseythehut) was no where in my outline. In fact, the dream I was going to have her have was WAY tamer. I like what I wrote better.
So don't feel trapped by your outline. It's a map, not a bridle.
