I had a list I wanted to get through today, especially since I have a 12+ hour shift tomorrow. And there's a major winter storm coming (as in, a foot of snow to replace the foot of snow that just melted) - and it's all supposed to come through during the commute tomorrow morning. *sigh* Forecasts like that make me wish I could work from home, but I can't.
Unfortunately, I woke up with a throbbing migraine, sick to my stomach. So needless to say, NOTHING has gotten done today. I'm finally up (at 6 pm) because I had to try and eat something. It's not working - I forced down half a peanut butter and orange marmalade sandwich and am seriously contemplating letting it come back up, because I am that nauseous. I've taken 2 vicodan today, as well as a few tylenol, and NOTHING is working. Not even Patty's sure-fire bathtub cure (which has always worked before). I feel like taking a knife and trying to cut out the pain - it's that bad.
I really, really don't want to call in sick to work tomorrow, though. Really. I've already called in once this month, and calling in on Mondays and Fridays always seem really unprofessional to me. But if it's this bad tomorrow, I'm calling my doctor, having them send something REALLY strong to my pharmacy and having them send a note to my work. I'm not dealing with an hour-long commute in a major blizzard with a migraine. No way in hell.
heading back to bed now. hopefully everything will stay down...
