Last night, the Boston Red Sox beat the LA Angels of Anaheim 3-2 to knock them out of the playoffs (you're welcome again, zombiegoat). Now the real battle begins, because Tampa Bay also won, and they have been a scrappy ball team all season.

And yes, LA was too, but we KNOW we can defeat them in the postseason. Tampa? I'm not so sure.

Then again, in Theo and Tito we trust. I believe.

And because it really needs to be said, I'm going to quote zombiegoat's comment in my last entry:

Come join urban fantasy author Val Griswold-Ford for a day-long writing workshop on Saturday, October 18, 2008, as we gear up for National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) in November. The program will be held in room 2 of Memorial Hall from 10:00am-3:00pm. This will be a hands-on, writing intensive day as Val takes you through a crash course in getting ready for NaNo. From worldbuilding, plotting and characters to how to find the time to get your word count in each day, this workshop will help get you ready to attack that 50,000 word goal on November 1.

Please bring an idea and enthusiasm! Also, bring at least a notebook and a pen (laptops are welcome but not required).

Val Griswold-Ford is the author of the award-nominated novel Not Your Father's Horseman and the co-editor of the award-nominated series The Complete Guide to Writing Fantasy. She is a full-time author in addition to having a full-time day job and is all too familiar with the problems trying to find the time to write.

My birth certificate - nowhere to be found

*sigh* And of course, I was born in South Carolina, and the certificate itself is this little plastic card. It could be anywhere.

I'm so aggravated.

I'll be ordering a new one tomorrow, but it's going to take a minimum of two weeks. Luckily, passports only take a month, according to their website. I'm going to keep looking but dammit, I KNOW it was in that file!!!!

Argh.
