Not that I'm counting or anything. :P

I voted today! There were 50 people standing behind me in line at 7:45 am this morning in my ward - and the polls didn't open for another 15 minutes. It was crazy.

Did you vote? If not, why not? (puts away soapbox)

More later. I'm in an odd frame of mind....

I cant blame people for not voting this time.

I was sorely tempted not to as there is completely no one worth voting for. Its like voting for death by hanging or stoning. I dont want either...

but since I have always held the manta that if you want to complain you have to vote... I went anyway and drank the hemlock

Went to the polls at noon and there was no one in front of me. Even had the choice of electronic or paper ballot, went with paper. With VA being a swing state I want a paper trail.

I tried to! But it was a 2 1/2 hour wait and my m-i-l wasn't sure how to use the boy's new nebulizer. :( My husband got to though so, that's something.

I don't usually blame people for not voting - but I too feel that if you don't vote, you don't have the right to complain afterwards.

nope. Hubster is at work and crazyhorse has two meds at two times in addition to the nebulizer so - not this year. If I'd gone first thing in the am it wouldn't have been a prob but I couldn't very well leave the boy in the hospital for that long by himself. So, I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed for the lesser of two evils (in my opinion anyway).

Things were very smooth in Manchester. Beth and I walked down to the polls (just .2 miles down the street) on the theory that it would be quicker to walk than to find a place to park when we got there, and I think we were probably right. We got there about 7:15. Our polls opened at 6am. There was a line, but only about 5 min. worth.

Yeah, I don't understand why Concord (hello, state capital!!!) opened later than pretty much everyone else in the state. But I got to vote, and that's what's important.
