Six Secrets (tagged by [livejournal.com profile] irysangel)

Hmm, six secrets about me that you guys don't already know??? Dude, hard. But here we go.

1. I love to drive. I will drive anywhere, any time. Put me in a car with tunes and I am good to go. I love to daydream and sing along (badly) with music I know.

2. I'm the eldest of four children - three girls and then a boy. All of us addicted to Irish music (the traditional drinking song type - like the Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem.)

3. I have NO music cred - I love Country music. *grin* And most of today's music that's not country - well, I don't like it. I like being able to understand the words that I'm singing along with. Which is why you'll find the country stations preset on my car radio, and stuff like Phantom of the Opera and Nightmare before Christmas in my CD player. I'm also addicted to 80s music.

4. I was a cheerleader for 7 years in grade school/high school. And we NEVER wore our uniforms to school on game day. Don't know anywhere that does, actually.

5. I love to paint, but I'm horrible at it. Seriously. I can write a picture, but I can't draw one. Now that I've discovered illumination, I might have to start inflicting it on y'all.

6. I was born and learned to speak down South. In South Carolina, actually. I was a Navy brat and still have the faintest Southern drawl that comes out when I'm tired or tipsy.

Now, I tag... [livejournal.com profile] snitchcat and [livejournal.com profile] barlidoc and [livejournal.com profile] mooseythehut and [livejournal.com profile] caitlindancer and [livejournal.com profile] camilla_anna and [livejournal.com profile] beard5.

Sorry, but it comes out more often that that!

Really? Guess I just don't hear it anymore (or it's trying to compete with y'all's Yankee accents!)

Re 4: Our middle school didn't have cheerleaders, but our high school cheerleaders wore their uniforms just about every game day, which meant during basketball season they wore theirs sometimes more than once a week. Interesting...I never realized that there were schools where they _didn't_ wear them. *g*

Huh. We just had to dress nicely (no jeans, dress shirs, that kind of thing). No uniforms until we hit the court.

Weird.

Ick. I would have HATED that (esp. the wool sweaters we had the first two years of high school).
