Ending line: Edward sat at his desk, running his fingers along the slender cylinders lined up on the piece of burlap on the desktop.
Darling: The blond ghost closed her eyes, and lifted both hands into the air. Maybe it was because she was now a ghost, or perhaps it was Rose’s influence, but I could actually see the barriers she raised. This was the reason Kate had been on our team – she was a full telepath, and could generate fields of static “noise” that effectively blocked out anyone who was trying to eavesdrop on us in the Ghostlands. And, as we’d discovered early on, it affected normal humans as well, making them avoid any area she was protecting.
