Some good news!

For once.

Okay, that was cranky. :) Actually, things haven't been that bad this week - I survived work (and found out that I can't write during the day shift - not that they won't let me, but that there are too many people interested in what I'm doing to let me concentrate *grin*) and the event this weekend was great.

That's not the reason I'm posting. :)

The reason I'm posting is because Stonemarche (the SCA barony I'm a member of) ran an auction this weekend to benefit the SCA Relief Fund being run by the Queen of Meridies. I put in a walk-on role in one of my three upcoming novels as an item and am pleased to report that not only did it bring in $66.42, but it was a hotly-contested item!:D

All in all, Stonemarche raised $520.42 to go to help Meridies (the kingdom hit by the Hurricane) - vivant to you all!

And I would challenge all those authors out there with upcoming contracts - why not auction off a small role in one of your novels on eBay and donate the money? I'm thinking of doing that (once I know what novel this winner has chosen). It's great publicity for you, and the money goes to a good cause.

Just something to think about...

Now to get back to writing.
