I need to clean my desk.

Seriously.

My desk at work is a MESS, and I can’t stand it. My desk at my home office - *shudder.* I forsee a lot of cleaning this weekend.

I must be getting older, because this never used to bother me. Either that, or the cleaning we did at [livejournal.com profile] aishabintjamil’s mother’s house has REALLY affected me. I just look around my desk and want to scream.

And I need to set up my desk at home again. So I can actually WORK at it. If I were smart (read: technologically-advantaged), I could figure out how to get the internet card in the laptop to work with my system. If I were really smart, I could figure out how to upgrade the desktop so I could access my Thumb Drive from it.

But I’m not. So I’ll just clean the office, and clean my house, and write on my husband’s computer, until I can afford to get him a new computer and take his. :D

So, plans for this weekend:

Saturday: Movie Day! Donna and I are going to see Monster House and, finally, POTC: Dead Man’s Chest. Yeah, yeah, I know. I really should have seen it before this. I’ve been busy!

Sunday: LAUNDRY! And cleaning! And writing! And editing! Not necessarily in that order. :p

I didn’t write at all last night, but I did watch an absolutely hysterical episode of “Good Eats” about poaching. It was very Mission Impossible. I heart Alton Brown.

A few more stories of Ian, courtesy of his mother (Ian being the 5-year-old son of Donna)

Ian was pretending he was a vampire, and “sucking the blood” out of an orange. All of a sudden, he dropped the orange and grabbed his throat, making choking noises. His mother said, “What’s wrong, baby?” thinking he was choking. He choked out, “Garlic…”

Ian had to take some medicine, and he didn’t like it. So he moaned, “It burns us, it burns us!” when she made him take it.

Yeah, gotta love Ian stories….Yes, he IS still alive.
