Starting line: “Why did I agree to a three-book deal?” Rick demanded of the empty room a few hours later, throwing his hands up in frustration. “Why did I let her talk me into it?”

Ending line: It was a long, long ten minutes. Rick continued to pace, his breath steaming in front of him. The snow had stopped falling, but the sky was still grey and overcast.

Darling: It worked, for a bit. The world faded; Rick found himself standing in the fictional town of Wheaton, with his heroine Talisman beside him, her long dark hair blowing in the breeze. That’s how he knew he was on a good writing jag: when he was right there in the novel. Then she turned, and instead of Talisman’s grey-green eyes and slightly Amerindian features, Nikki’s blue eyes and pale face captured him. It didn’t matter why she was here, now. He didn’t care. Somewhere, in the back of his mind, Rick wondered just what his subconscious was trying to pull. And if he should care.

Tired now. Sleeping.
What's the difference between the Alphasmart keyboard and the actual Alphasmart? Can you use a USB drive in it? I'm thinking of getting one for Pennsic, and while I can justify $17.00 for a keyboard for a week, I can't justify $200.

Help!!!

Maybe it would help if I included the link I'm looking at:

ebay Alphasmart.
