Done.

There is literally nothing more I can do to get ready for Pennsic, other than finish up some pieces of garb that I have handsewing to do on. The cooler is packed and piled with the rest of the stuff (and the packing list) out on the porch for argus7hills to pack in the Jimmy when he gets home from work. The I/R receiver still hasn't shown up (color me shocked), so I can't type more than 70 pages in the QuickPad before I get home (or I'll have to take a day and transcribe into the laptop). Emails are sent. Addresses for postcards have been copied down.

I'm running on caffeine, but hey, nothing new on that. If all goes well, we'll be down in Butler by noon at the latest tomorrow, and onsite at Pennsic on Saturday by like 9 am. I doubt I'll be on much during the week, but I'll be on tonight until I leave work.

The Passing of a Legend

Tommy Makem passes of cancer at age 74.

Wow. I've been listening to Tommy Makem sing since I can remember hearing music. My parents took us to see him and the Clancy Brothers several times. I knew his sons briefly in high school.

I'm stunned. I hate growing older - everyone cool is passing away.
