Okay, back to metrics. I don't remember where I started this chapter, so we'll claim it all today.
Starting count: 31,335
Ending count: 34,815
Added words: +3480
Starting line:
“So, how goes the battle?”
Ending line:
Justin shook his head slightly, dismissing the thought as soon as it registered.
Darling:
As usual, his room looked like a library and a laundromat had gotten into a fistfight and killed each other there. Messily. Papers and books were stacked in untidy piles on every available surface and most of the floor, where they fought for dominance over the laundry that crept out of the open drawers and out of the closet. He stepped carefully over the uneven floor, hoping, as always, to not die on his way to his desk.
Mean things: wow, jealousy is an ugly thing, isn't it? And I dunno about you, but I hate having my illusions shattered. :)
Got a good padding to my wordcount today. Let's see how it goes.
