I love the late summer into fall, because we get SO much good stuff in the farmer's markets. More on that later.

However, I HATE the late summer into fall for two reasons: 1. the snow will be here soon, and I loathe cold, and 2. that's when work shifts into overdrive.

I've been working crazymad overtime the past two weeks, and it's not going to get any better soon. There have been some shifts in the way stuff is done, and suffice it to say that I'm probably looking at a minimum of 6-8 hours of OT a week for the forseeable future. Ugh. Oh well, at least I still have a job and I get time and a half for everything after 40 hours.

To top it off, I'm taking two classes next semester (which starts the second week of September) - Intro to Paralegal and Intro to Algebra. Wish me luck. I'm going to need it.

So if you don't see me around, now you know why. :p

But on to the good stuff. What did I get at the farmer's market today?

- Grass-fed lamb chops
- Grass-fed beef skirt steak
- Venison burgers
- 1/4 peck of fresh apples (Ginger Golds, Paula Reds and Zesters)
- 2 lbs of fresh peaches to make a peach pie tonight
- 1/2 gallon of fresh skim milk for hubby
- 1 dozen fresh eggs
- 1 small loaf of anadama bread

Yum. I'm going to pick up some fresh fish on the way home tonight, and some pie shells (Val doesn't do pie shells) so I can do a spinach/zucchini quiche and a peach pie for the week. I'm working OT on Monday and Wednesday, and have class Tuesday and Thursday - and Friday is Harpers!

So I need to do the following today and tomorrow:

- Stop at Target and get a fountain
- Go see Dark Knight with hubby at 6:30 pm (yum, movie theater popcorn!)
- Stop at Walmart and make a key
- Make a food list for the week, so I know what we're eating all week.
- Decide what I'm bringing to the Inn tomorrow - deviled eggs or minestrone? I'm leaning towards minestrone, personally.
- Write!
- Laundry (ugh)
- Clean this bomb site that I'm calling my house.

Ugh, I should get moving.
