For [livejournal.com profile] domynoe and the others who've asked, here's my recipe for zucchini bread. I tweaked the recipe in the Better Homes and Gardens cookbook a little, and I love it.

Zucchini Bread
Oven: 350 degrees F
Bake time: 50 minutes

1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 egg, beaten
1 cup sugar
1 cup finely shredded, unpeeled zucchini
1/4 cup all-natural applesauce
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
the zest of 1/2 a lemon

Being a Griswold, I dump all the dry ingredients into the bowl, dump the wet in on top, and mix it together. :) Put in a loaf pan, bake for 50 minutes at 350 degrees. And yes, I do put the zest in - it's a lovely addition of flavor. I've tried it with orange zest as well - also yummy! I've also halved the zucchini and subbed in shredded apple - very nice. You can do half zucchini/half carrot too.

Enjoy!

Nikki couldn’t argue with that. “He hasn’t said anything, though, and I think he would. He knows he has to help us. If he doesn’t, he dies.”

Then she heard a horrific scream and felt her Horseman react - that hunger deep within her opened up, calling to its siblings. Nikki was beyond reach within her Circle and she could only vaguely feel Thom, but there was now a third, an angry, bloodthirsty Power that could only belong to War, and it was seeking prey.

The web above her was covered in small blood droplets, garnets nestled among the milky pearls on the thin strands.

Okay, if this works, it’s the first official post from the website.  And it means that I’m not as tech-deficient as I think! Hopefully, it works!

No, I'm not giving up the LJ blog. In fact, I'll probably continue to post here during the day, since I can't post from work to the other blog (I don't think). But I did want to be able to post from both.

I'm setting the site up slowly - there's definitely more there than there was two days ago. Check it out - and stop back often, because I'm putting more stuff up all the time.

In fact, there will be a freebies page going up VERY soon (within the next three days) with some cool writing on it. I think you'll like it! And not all from the Horseman universe.

I've also gotten an RSS feed started for the Horseman podcast - I hope to record my first promo within a week and get that dropped in. Eeek! This is finally happening!

Better get my throat warmed up....
