starting line:
“Mostly because when he vanished, there were rumors that he’d been taken by an unknown Lord, and no one knew what side of the Walls he was on.”

ending line:
“Should we knock him out again?” The voice rumbled from above him, echoing in his head.

darling:
“Not necessarily,” he said. “Not everyone agreed with the Council and Parliament that the cross-Wall half-breeds were dangerous.” When she continued to stare at him, he shook his head. “Later. I’m not going into Lord politics now. But think, Nikki – when has anything in this been black and white? There were atrocities committed on both sides. No one’s hands were clean. Just like now.”

It is a screamingly beautiful day outside, all blue sky and sunshine and hot temperatures. I am going to spend at least a little bit outside - maybe we'll see if the landlords want to grill later tonight. I have a to-do list today, but it's one that I'm actually in the mood to do, so it's okay. :D

To-Do:
- Write! At least 3k today on Rites. (doing 15-minute sprints on this)
- Clean the office! (Alternating sprints of this with sprints of writing) I found my writing area. I count that as a win.
- 1:30 pm to game end - watch the Red Sox go for a sweep of the Baltimore Orioles. (Get the brooms!) Sadly, no sweep. But not shut out! Thank goodness for a Youk homerun in the 9th!
- Return lease agreement and check to landlords
- Meal plans for the week
- update [livejournal.com profile] val_marathon
- Make dinner (marinated steak, roasted new potatos, roasted summer squash)
- Do reading for sekrit project

Tomorrow is a massive recording push - I want to record at least 5 eps. We start dropping stuff into the feed in approximately 2 weeks! Eep! I need a buffer!

starting line:
“Let’s see if he’ll be reasonable first.” That voice was familiar; after a moment, Thom realized it was Chrys. “If he starts anything, you can do what needs to be done. Just remember, he needs to survive.”

ending line:
Chrys wondered what horse they were so worried about.

darling:
Something rumbled beneath him. An earthquake? No, hoofbeats. Hoofbeats? Thom levered himself up from the ground and looked around. He stood on a hill, looking down into the beginning of a valley that sloped away from him. A small river ran down the center of it, sparkling in the sun. The hill was covered in grass, but wildflowers coated the valley floor, and weeping willows dipped delicate fingers into the slow moving stream. He could still feel the hoofbeats, and turned to look behind him.

There, a forest rose up behind him, draped around the shoulders of a mountain that gazed up to the sky. A road wound around the mountain, a brown cord against the green of the forest, and along that road came a woman on a tall white horse, leading a grey stallion behind her.
