Red blood fountained up from somewhere behind her, splashing the walls, and she slid down slowly, one hand clawing at the window in mute supplication. As she fell, Thom heard the screams that the monitors had masked, and then he felt it.

60k! Finally! And lots of mayhem, etc. We’re moving into the climax, which makes me happy. It’s a rough draft, but there’s a lot of good in it.
