I’m sorry, folks. I’m not sure why I’m not blogging lately – it’s just been one of those things I haven’t been doing. I’m trying to unplug from the Internet and while that’s good for my writing, it’s not good for updating the blog. The good news is that this training schedule ends on Thursday of next week, and so I’ll be on a NORMAL schedule (well, normal for me). That means that I probably won’t need my alarm – getting up at 8 am (as opposed to 6) and working 8 hours, not 10 like I was. And I’ll be commuting into work with a friend – even better! I’m looking forward to it.
Tonight is the annual Mardi Gras party at my landlords’ house. Not only are we invited, we’re the overflow for guests who are sleeping over, so I need to clean my house. At the very least, I need to clean up my living room, my kitchen and my bathroom. Luckily, I’m up pretty early, and I know what I need to do. And the house isn’t a TOTAL disaster. I did a bit last night. Also, I have tea in my Jolly Rogers of the 7 Seas mug, which means I can conquer the world. Right? Right.
Here’s the list:
Living room:
- pick up all the clean clothes and put them away
- hang up the cloaks
- pick up the stuff on the floor and put it away properly
- vacuum
Kitchen:
- dishes washed
- dishes put away
- counters cleaned
- table cleaned off
- floor swept
- trash emptied
Bathroom:
- sink cleaned
- laundry picked up
- toilet cleaned Yay for hubbies who help out, by cleaning toilet and emptying trash!
- trash emptied
- floor swept
- towels changed
Other stuff:
- Daily pages
- Go to grocery store for bananas and whipped cream again, wonderful hubby!
- vacuum stairs
- sweep front hall
- make beef stew
I foresee lunch from McDonald’s today, to be honest. Luckily, dinner is taken care of! And time for me to get moving!
