Despite everything, I'm still writing. Christ, at this point, it's therapy. And it keeps me from drinking, which is looking very attractive in a very bad way (coming from a family that has alcoholism running in it). So, I write. (for a quick synopsis of what I'm talking about: my cat, Max, has a lump under his chin and will be going in for surgery on Thursday. We still don't know what it is.)

On the upside, I got a VERY awesome review from [livejournal.com profile] teemonster:

Thank you, Tee! You made my day!!!

Goal tonight - to write as much as I can. Period. I'd like to finish at least 1k of words on Treaty.

I need something to distract me.

Hugs

Val,

Little did you know but I lurk here. Hugs. That's always tough when something happens to one of your kitties. My thoughts are with you and Max. I hope it turns out well. And yes, writing is an addiction, but much more healthy than most. Indulge in it as much as you need to.

Re: Hugs

Hi Mar,

Thanks. I'm just checking in now while he noses around his carrier - I go to drop him off in 10 minutes. I'll be sure to let everyone know how he's doing.

And yes, it is a good addiction. I'm up to chapter 3 on Belladonna Dreams - and I think I've got a good story here. Treaty will have to wait, but that's okay.

Thanks for the kind words/thoughts.
