My QuickPad H45 came in today! So I'm trying it out at work today. I just have to get a USB IR Receiver so it can talk to the laptop. I'm going to stop at Walmart tonight to see if they have one, and if not, I'll stop at Best Buy/Circuit City/Sears/Etc tomorrow. Radio Shack or something.

More later.

Edit One: OHHOLYSHIT, I love this thing! I'm FLYING along, because I can't see more than 4 lines at a time, so I can't procrastinate by going back and rereading. I just keep going. I'm already done with one chapter and part-way through another. I hope I can find an IR receiver or get my other one soon, because I'm going to need it.

This is seriously the best $25 (for everything) I have ever spent.

[livejournal.com profile] jackoutofthebox, I'll be bringing it with me to Pennsic, if you're interested in looking at it.

Well, so far it's awesome! I'm really loving it - it's so darn easy to work! And I just got an IR receiver on eBay for $9 total, which should be here by the end of the week. So we're good to go.

Sweet. I'll head over tomorrow, because I can't wait to get the stuff I typed today off it. :) This is so much fun!

Thanks for the tip!

A friend of mine has one of those and they look pretty cool. Even with spell check, I think? I still have to say I prefer the mightiness of my laptop ;)

Don't get me wrong - I adore Cassandra (the laptop). But she's only got 2 hours of battery life, and since I'll be camping for a week, that just won't work. Puck (yes, he has a name now!) has 100 hours of battery life on 4 AAs.

man sounds like a great investment! Perhaps I should aquire one for myself, although I found in Nano I used to change the type font to white with white background lol so I couldn't see what I was typing and thus no editing lol

Well, that's why this works. ;) And there is a Quickpad Australia if you want to check it out - I got mine on eBay, but the company website (www.quickpad.com) has been great too.
