Especially since every single damn cold virus that comes along seems to go "Oh look, honey, what a lovely place to raise children!" and settles down in either my nose or my chest. Or both.

Sorry to heart this.

I had some really bad respiratory infections )pneumonia, bronchitis, as well as colds) for about 1.5 years and finally found a doctor who correctly diagnosed my underlying problem--allergies. I now get monthly allergy shots and am back to normal. Whether this is a problem for you or not, obviously I couldn't know, but it is at least worth seeing if you can eliminate it from one of your causes.

Unfortunately, I'm on immunosuppressives for the Crohns', so I know what the problem is. I need the drugs so I'm not in surgery every 3 months, so I just need to learn to deal with it.

Have you tried echinacea tea? When I get the sniffles, I have a cup or two for a few days and I'm fine. It probably wouldn't hurt to mention it ask your doctor if it would affect/interact with your medications.

Otherwise I'll send happy health vibes your way.

I haven't tried the tea, but echinacea supplements and capsules make me hallucinate. :) I'm a weird one - ibuprofen does the same thing.

I'm a peppermint and chamomile tea girl myself. And lemon tea with honey when my throat starts to hurt.
