Work: I should have definite news to post this afternoon. Some of you already know, but I'll have the wheres, whens and whyfors after 1:15 pm EST (and yes, I'll post it here.)

Food: As I posted to [livejournal.com profile] writersweighin, I'm switching to a whole food meal plan. Basically, if it comes pre-packaged, I'm avoiding it for a while (unless it's rice or pasta or frozen veggies - something like that). I'm just having too many intestinal issues, and while I think stress is a big part of it, I'm just not pushing the issue anymore. So Sunday is going to be a major cooking/cleaning day, so I can be set for the week. I might post my meal plan here - I'm going to be planning out EVERYTHING, so I can pack it all.

On the upside, I'm seriously considering making Chex Mix this weekend. :)

Writing: As I posted yesterday, I'm pretty much leaning towards Shanghai at this point for my NaNo. However, I'm going to be poking at Raindrop as well this month. I figure that whatever looks more complete at the end of September is the book I'm going to do for NaNo.

On another front, I'm going to be doing a 2 or 3-part seminar on getting ready for NaNo - if you're in the area, it'll be at the Townsend Library in Townsend, Massachusetts as soon as the librarian and I get our schedules in sync (probably 2 week nights and a Saturday), but I'm going to be posting them here as well. Keep a look out for them.

For folks in my writing group, I'll have the first chunk of Snow for you guys tomorrow - I'm hoping for a goodly amount, but I'll see what I can blow out tonight. Sunday, I have to clean my sewing room/office up, so I can swap computer desks with [livejournal.com profile] beard5 next week, so no writing most likely, but I'm going to pound the keyboard tonight.

Personal: I'm under a lot of stress right now - nothing compared to some on my F-list, but stress nonetheless. Hopefully, the meeting I have at 1 pm today will alieviate a bunch of the stress, but we'll see.

Oh, and I missed class Wednesday night - I thought it didn't start until Monday. *sigh* What a great impression to make on my new professors.

More later.

*hugs hugs*

Feel better soon, and I hope the whole meeting thing DOES alleviate the stress for you. I know what a mess that can make of your body -- I don't even have a reoccurring health issue and my stress reaction is nasty.

Thanks.

Box being sent out tomorrow - had to wait and see what the boyo's check looked like before I could shop, but there's another care package of foodstuffs coming for you.

Hrm....cereal I guess? Nothing with sugar in it (well, almost nothing -- I let the kids eat Kix, and they like Chex, I adore Frosted Mini-Wheats, Saxy likes Honey-Nut Crunch and can't find it at our Kroger any more, my oldest wants me on that Heart Start stuff, and we also like Quaker Oats and Cream of Wheat, but the husband can't stand it so doesn't buy it too often) -- so a nice selection to choose from there). Cornmeal (almost out). Spices (although I know those can be expensive): onion powder, garlic powder. Maybe you can find fennel seeds. We have a recipe that calls for the suckers and we can't find them anywhere. Ummm...our shampoo has gone through the roof: I like Pantene and have curly hair, but the smallest bottle of the stuff hub got (NOT for curly hair) was like $8! :(

Ummmm....wow, requests. *thinking is hard for some reason* Hub just bought a whole bunch of things in bulk so I'm at a bit of a loss (Sam's Club has this HUGE thing of rice that lasts us 2 or 3 months, and he picked up a big ole bottle of EVOO that floored me). The only other things I can think of wouldn't survive shipping too well. lol (I mean, we go through eggs like there's no tomorrow, but I can just SEE the condition they'd be in!)

Oh! Kiddo is sick and I am sure to come down with it (the downside of anemia -- I Get EVERYTHING that goes through the house...twice): canned soups, canisters of powdered Kool-Aide or Country Time Lemonade (hey, maybe your store carries the Country Time Lemonade Iced Tea mix? Kroger did when we first got out here and now it doesn't, but it could be a discontinued item? Link to what I'm talking about: http://www.kraftfoods.com/countrytime/ct_ingredients_IceT_6.html), Halls lozenges. I like teas, but they've been too expensive to pick up too: Orange Spice, Raspberry, and Peppermint.

Saxy suggested cake mixes. Those cheap Jiffy muffin mixes work well for the bentos.

Enough ideas for you? I know not all that is healthy stuff, but healthy stuff is expensive.

Okay, really, I need to do my first crit and type up A.C. 27. Not sure why I'm just puttering around.

Way to miss class :-) But you were feeling super sick!

For the first time in *years*, I might actually be able to do NaNo this year. I almost can't believe it.

(And that also means I don't write anything new until November after I finish my current WIP. Not sure if I can do that, but I have three or four novels to polish and submit. So. Maybe!)
