(and no, I don't know why I'm using the Halloween pumpkin - I'm just liking it right now)

Yesterday was [livejournal.com profile] argus7hills 40th birthday party, and I'm pleased to report it was an unqualified success! We had so much fun! Thanks to everyone who came - and those who were sick, I hope you feel better!

Our friend KellyJean stayed over, so we did eggs, maple bacon and toast for breakfast. Then she headed out, and I started my tasks for the day.

It's 4:30 pm now, and I've made zucchini bread, grated the remainder of my zucchinis (except for one that I deseeded and froze whole to do baked stuffed zucchini this winter), transplanted the two rose bush cuttings Dad brought me yesterday, sent class notes to my classmate, transplanted the comfrey into a pot, transplanted the two eggplants to a new pot (for some reason, I had a tomato plant, two eggplants and a basil plant in one pot. No, I don't know why either), returned the keg and my library book (no, not at the same place) and got apples and groceries. I found the orchard near me! I think I shall go next week and pick some apples to make into apple pie filling and can.

I still have dishes to do, and I'm going to make bacon mac and cheese for dinner (yes, those Pizza Hut commercials are getting to me), and I have to study. At 8 pm, hubby and I are meeting for our weekly WoW date.

And I still need to cook for the week. *sigh* There's never enough time, you know?
