First and foremost, I have to congratulate Tee Morris and Philippa Ballantine, yet again, on their two-book deal for Books and Braun with Eos Books. Squee! I cannot WAIT to get my hands on Phoenix Rising next year!

This is such good news. I'm so freaking excited for both of them.

Cons are wonderful for recharging my juices. I'm pumped now, and I can't wait to jump back into the fray. I want this too. I want to be able to share news like this.

But you know what? You need to write something in order to sell it. Cold, hard truth, my friends, cold, hard truth.

It's time for me to remember that, and to get my butt in gear. So, in order to do that, I start the deathmarch today. And here we go:

Projects that need to be done, and the order therein:

1. Finish Last Rites (July 31st, 2010 for the rough draft) - that's 1100 words a day.
2. Finish setting up the website (June 30th, 2010)
3. Record the promo for Horseman (June 10th, 2010)
4. Record Horseman podcast (1 chapter per week starting June 4th)
5. Outline and plot summary for Olympus (September 30th, 2010)

I will keep these goals, and I will get everything done. And who knows - maybe next year, I'll have some awesome news to share too. :D

Oh, and I've got the beginning page of the website up! vg-ford.com isn't blank anymore!

Oh, hello! I saw the friend request, but I'm afraid my memory is so lazy today it can't even be jogged, did we meet?

LOL! We did - I was another of the authors at the DMP table with PG Holyfield, Pip Ballantine, Tee Morris, Phil Rossi and Christiana Ellis - we talked for a little bit this weekend in between things and you gave me your LJ handle. :) I was the one in the Red Sox baseball cap.

Oh! Hello, sorry, I spent a lot of time talking very intimately to people I don't quite remember the name of- it's the nature of the game.

Well, hello there! BRB, friending...

Hehe - not a problem! :D I just remembered when we'd talked because of the paper I'd written the LJ name down on - it was one of Phil Rossi's flyers, which means I'd picked it up at the table. :)
