I've got a light schedule for Capclave right now, but that could change (and I might crash a panel or two - it's been known to happen). Right now, this is what I'm officially down for:

Sunday, 11 am
Darnestown
The Middle Ages Sucked!
Panelists: Tom Doyle, Val Griswold-Ford, Thomas Holtz (M), Thomas McCabe
The majority of the population were serfs, the Black Death was killing people off in vast numbers, and there was no indoor plumbing. Life was nasty, brutish and often short. So why are so many fantasy novels set in pseudo-medieval societies? What's the attraction?

Sunday, 2 pm
Rockville/Potomac
Paranormal: Innies or Outies?
Panelists: Charles E. Gannon, Val Griswold-Ford, Kate Paulk (M), Carrie Vaughn
Is the supernatural secret or is it public with Congress holding hearings on werewolves and bars carrying TruBlood for vampires? Both exist; what makes one work or not?

I'll also be wandering around - at this point, it is doubtful that Schrodinger will be joining me (I know, sadness, but he's off on the Roads somewhere and hasn't come back!).

The Middle Ages Sucked! sounds like it'll be fun. I'm always amused by the people who come to the Renaissance faire when I work, and wonder at how authentic it all is. "Look, honey, Italian ice just like they ate in the Renaissance!"

Bwa ha ha ha ha!

Have fun this weekend, darling.

I know, right! And you have fun too - I wish I could get down there, but, well... :D

Raise a rum for me, and I'll do the same for you!
