I did. And now, it's another FIFTY-TWO WEEKS until the next one!!!! Waaahhhhh..... (Not that I'm counting, or anything. Nope. Not me.)
Balticon was amazing, as always. And this year, I managed to keep to the 5-2-1 con rule (5 hours of sleep, 2 meals, 1 shower every day) and as a result, didn't come home with con crud. Yay!!! That's definitely a good thing. (Of course, as I type that, I cough. Maybe I didn't miss it after all...) I got to see so many amazing people - new and old. My twitter feed has swelled, and I'm loving all the pictures up on Flickr and Facebook. I'll get mine up soon - my phone died the first day there (grrr), and so all of my pictures are actually on my camera still.
Best of all, the very air of the con vibrated with creativity. It was a living, breathing thing that drowned my lungs and my story issues. I read the second episode of Tales of the Scorned Lady to an appreciative audience, we released Spells and Swashbucklers officially and I FINALLY figured out the issue with Forgotten. The plot is moving forward again, and I'm determined it will be done (in first draft form) for July 31st.
So, here's the new project list. I'm working on getting reviews for Spells, and I'm still waiting for my edits for Last Rites, but I'm not waiting for anything else any more. I'm writing, every damn day. Every. Damn. Day.
The Honey-Do list for the rest of 2012:
Forgotten (1st Sapph Novel) - 1st draft for July 31st
The Christmas Corpse (1st Schrodinger Novel) - 1st draft for Sept. 30th
FaeryTale Princess - NaNo Novel
Tales of the Scorned Lady, Season 1 - written and podcast by Dec. 31st
That's the list. It's doable. I promise you, it's doable.
And I'm going to do it.
