I had to fix my outline, so no word counts today. But outline is fixed and I'm jazzed to write the rest of it.

But I'm wiped and hacking and sort of talking (sort of), so I'm going to take some NyQuil and head to bed. See you all tomorrow.

starting line:
Once his hands were clean, Tony went back to Alex’s bedside and put his fingers to either side of the comatose Mage’s head.

ending line:
Andreas’ skin had started to sink in on itself as Power and blood flowed from him; his heart still beat, and would until Tony ended the draining spell.

darling:
He stopped in his room and pulled a small, flat box out from under his bed. Opening it, he smiled as he pulled the limp piece of flesh from its bed of fabric, the edges sticky against his fingertips. Tony pulled out a small pocket knife and cut a slit in the flesh of his arm, squeezing the cut to pull some blood out. He smeared the blood on the edges of the mask, then carefully fit the face over his own. It had taken him nearly two hours to pull the face off the skull of the owner of the house, but it was worth it to give him a new identity. A few whispered words, and the face meshed with his own. Tony blinked, then smiled and went out to get his car.

Epiphany! And now I need to rework my outline in the next few days. But I think it works better. Seriously.

And I had a plotbunny hatch yesterday. >.< No more, please!!!

With the darn outline! It came in at 16,000 words (yes, I write very detailed outlines) and now I start working on the actual book. Fun is.

I have a month. I can do it. Really I can.
Writing: Got another 1108 words done on the outline yesterday. I'm a bit worried about how the outline is coming out - I'm up to Chapter 24/25 and still in November, but meh, we'll see. I think I can cut out some of the early stuff, but I don't want to until I have the entire thing done out. I think I'm just suffering from more sequelitis. I really do. I have to have SOME confidence in my stuff!

Personal: First, I hate naproxen. HATE it. I always feel sick on it, even when I eat when I take it. Bleah. Nausea is NOT FUN. However, the swelling is going down, which is a good thing. And naproxen and vicodan together give me some rather bizarre dreams, none of which I remember except as a feeling of WTF???

Today I am going to write, fold laundry and make dinner. Those are my lofty goals. I'm hanging out in FM Chat and DII Chat if folks want to join me!

Well, got the first 4 chapters and the prologue outlined. Found out that one of my characters was hiding something from me, and that another one had a storyline that really didn't make sense. So I got that sorted out, and I'm pleased with the way the story is shaping up. Got 1459 words done tonight on it.

Tomorrow, I need to do the following:
- email the folks from ShevaCon and StellarCon about being a guest next year.
- another 750 words at least on the outline for Seasons
- make dinner
- fold and put away laundry
- pay bills
- stop by the old apartment and do more cleaning.

Now off to bed.

With the help of the lovely and talented and patient [livejournal.com profile] snitchcat, who let me ramble on about the end of the book until I got it right, I finished the outline for Dark Moon Seasons. And I'm HAPPY with the ending! Yay!

Now, of course, I need to write the book. Bah. :p

That's tomorrow. My cold and I are going to take a bath so the NyQuil can take effect, and then go to bed.

My to-do list for tomorrow includes:

- print out the remainder of the outline
- mail Ekk's pocketknife
- swim
- grocery shopping (Baby Shrimp and Angel Hair pasta for dinner!)
- put away laundry
- write!

Under the heading of "write!" are two items:
- 1k on Seasons
- Chas' sheet

I need to get more serious about my writing time. And instead of puttering on the web, I need to write. So that's going to be my goal.
