1. Thank you to everyone who posted about my friend Cheryl. It was really shocking for me to find out that someone younger than I (only a year, but still) died of breast cancer. She fought for 5 years, and I can only hope I'd be that strong.
2. Her death has, however, made me more determined than ever to lose the extra weight I'm carrying. I'm already at high risk for breast cancer for two reasons: it runs on BOTH sides of my family, and I have Crohn's disease, which is a precursor to both breast and stomach cancer. The extra 100 lbs I'm carrying is just more risk that I can actually control. So I got up this morning and went into the gym and ran through my routine for the first time. Um, ow. :p But it will get better.
3. I need to really start carving out more writing time. I did a lot yesterday, but I'm shorting myself during the week. Bah.
