I had a blast today with Donna.

Went and saw Monster House and POTC: Dead Man's Chest. Then came home and The Mummy was on TBS! One of my ALL-TIME fav movies.

Monster House was cool, but DAMN! Not a kid's movie. I don't care that the rating was PG - it wasn't a kid's movie.

POTC rocked, of course. Love Johnny Depp as Cap'n Jack. And I thought Davy Jones rocked, although Donna thought his voice was a bit whiney. And no, I don't think it was a cliffhanger - more of a "Really? We can do that?" And no spoilers. :)

I think I might want to see Invincible. Odd, I don't like football, but I'm starting to like football movies (love The Replacements). Then again, Mark Wahlberg is one of my favorite actors too. We'll see.

Tonight and tomorrow are laundry and computer. Tonight is the final push on editing TOD. Tomorrow is all about Wings character development and Seasons outline.

I loooove football movies. Remember the Titans, Any Given Sunday, and The Longest Yard are some of my alltime favorite movies. I haven't seen Friday Night Lights but it looks good too. It helps that I also like football (Cleveland Browns, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Ohio Bobcats). I really want to see Invincible and I might go maybe tonight. There is a shopping plaza at the end of the block here with the town movie theater. It's raining so I have to nix my zoo plans and just maybe go find the mall and then see a movie.

And yes, POTC: Dead Man's Chest was a great movie. I hope it's out on DVD before Christmas.

Funny thing is, I'm not a big football fan. Hubby, OTOH, is a big Pats fan, and the only two games I watched during the two Superbowl seasons were games they lost, so I was informed that they would appreciate it if I didn't watch anymore. :) I'm much more a baseball fan - football doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Whoa, so Monster House is not a kids' movie. I thought it was! (Judging by the preview.) Was it too scary?

It was really a dark movie, and yeah, pretty scary. The animation is REALLY well done, and needless to say, my friend is REALLY glad she's not a real estate agent anymore. :)

Not graphic, but scary. Does that make sense?
