And more Christmas presents bought! Go me!

(I'm really hoping to be DONE with shopping by the end of November. I really am.)

So now it's back to the book. I also ran an idea for Episode 1 of Broken Wings past my collaborators and got enthusiastic squeals of glee responses from at least one of them. So I need to get cracking on the rest of the characters for that and start working on the story.

That will be a challenge in and of itself. I'm envisioning more of a screenplay script than a traditional story, and I've never done a screenplay. Any suggestions from any of my flist who works on screenplays would be MOST appreciated (yes, [livejournal.com profile] queenoftheskies, I WAS looking at you! *grin*)

So we'll see. I think this is going to be an interesting season coming up. Got another non-fiction idea percolating too, but I don't want to talk about that yet.

Oh, and apparently World Fantasy Con is in Calgary in 2008. I think I might be there.

Okay, back to work. I'm in FM Chat if anyone wants to come and distract me war with me.
Ended up with a count of 1414 for the day, which is a good thing. I haven't had a 1k day in a while, and that's depressing.

Metrics for Dark Moon Seasons
Starting line: Once she got Tony to pull that …thing out of him, he would be wide-open. Hers for the taking. How ironic that she had depended on one Mage to discover the way to destroy all of them.

Ending line: “I hope she will, Thomas.” She watched him walk through the doorway. When her office door closed behind him, she said softly, “From Heaven.”

Oh, and we have a working title for the last book! It's tentatively titled Last Rites.

ETA: Just checked my word count for the year, and I've cracked 100k! 102,778 words so far this year, to be exact. Go me!
I have discovered the addiction that is eBay. Thank the goddess I don't have a lot of disposible income!!!!

I've already bought something too. *blush* It's a book on writing for comics, and it was only $8 with shipping included. So very cool. I can't wait.

I'm waiting to hear on 3 others, but that's it. And nothing over $10 (with shipping included). Luckily, I'm not looking for anything but books right now.

I'm looking for masks from Stargate Atlantis. Can anyone help me? And yes, I looked on eBay. That was the start of the slippery slope. :p

Gotta do more writing tonight. I'm starting to really knuckle down. And that's good, because there are more projects looming on the horizon. Since work is sewing time now, I don't have that excuse (although I need to start doing some sewing at home too).

Either that, or no one's posting. Darn it all, don't my friends realize that I'm trying to procrastinate find out all about them?

Ahem. :D

I did get the most recent episodes summaries off to June for Virtual Tales, so I haven't been TOTALLY bad. Now I guess I really have to buckle down and write.

*sigh*

Oooh, I could go check my auctions on eBay! *runs off*

Got another 688 words done on Seasons. Not great, but not terrible either.

Starting line: “How’s she doing?”

Ending line: “Really?” He thought about the mist in the corner and shuddered. “Weird.”

Killed a Mage. Bad me. And he was comatose - didn't even have a chance. :p

More mayhem tomorrow. And a new character!
