I multitasked today!

Metrics for Blood Sacrifice
Start: 1744
End: 3176

Starting line: "Hey, Quinn identified our man!"

Ending line: His grimace told her all she needed to know.

Darling: alas, no.

Metrics for Dark Moon Seasons
Start: 509
End: 1061

Starting line: "Well, well, well, my Alex, it appears I chose well," she murmured to herself, her panic beginning to subside. "You won't betray me. Not my champion."

Ending line: He'd seen bomb sites that had more architecture still standing.

Darling: Sylvia's eyes started to glaze over as the mists swirled around her, mists that whispered soothing nothings into her ears as they draped themselves over her, lover's kisses in webs of lies.

This was a good writing day, even though I didn't start until after 10:30 pm. I got a bunch done.

Goals for tomorrow: another 2k on Sacrifice, and another 10k on Seasons. I've got nothing to do but write all day. This should be doable.

To bed and to read now.

Considering the email I got earlier today, I've got some modified goals for today.

1. Five pages of Ep. 1 of Broken Wings
2. 1k on Blood Sacrifice
3. 5k on Dark Moon Seasons

It's a lot, but I have all day to do it, and no one around to bug me. If I'm feeling especially creative, I might try and finish Wings tonight, but I'm starting with Seasons. Updates later today.
Yeah, I only got to one today. *scuffs toe* But I got part of a bodice cut out too!!!

Ahem. On to the metrics.

Starting Count: 1061
Ending Count: 4517
New words: 3456
Reason for stopping: 5 weeks left on the town run!!! I need garb!

Starting line: "What the hell happened here?" Lt. Amy Elder, also US Navy, asked the police officer who had brought them up to the blast site.

Ending line: The Shadows in Teraisa's workroom caressed her, welcoming her in and moving her gently.

Darling: Pain! Blood! Terror! A barrage of images slammed into his mind, one after the other, in rapid succession like a machine gun of emotion. Woven into the stream were two images, each terrifying in their own way: a simple rag doll, lying in the midst of a destructive rainbow that burned away shadows, and a young woman with dark hair and dark blue eyes, who turned towards him, the flesh melting off her face, leaving a skull that burned with dark energy. A ghostly hand came out of the darkness, skin hanging in shreds from its delicate bones, reaching for him as he fell. He never felt it when he hit the ground.
