Doing metrics for yesterday and today now, because I'm not sure when I'm typing next. I'm hoping to type tomorrow morning, but we'll see. Got to be into work at 12:30 pm.
Yesterday (Tuesday, 7/10)
Goal for the day: 750
Actual words written: 801
Starting line: His hostile question startled her at first, then her own temper flared up
Ending line: Her head connected with something hard, and the light was extinguished.
Darling: Rick’s command went unnoticed. All the frustration of the past week finally boiled over, and his pleas for sanity were lost amid the raging of the Storm above and the emotions swirling in her head. She stretched her hands out, reaching hungrily for Justin with Power-laden fingers, not even caring anymore who went down with him…
Today (7/11)
Goal for the Day: 750
Actual words written: 1179
Starting line: The world, when it came back to her, was pain. Most of it was centered on a tender spot on the back of her head, but her jaw ached and her teeth felt as if she’d been chewing concrete.
Ending line: “Oh, I think the maiden’s more than amiable,” Rick sighed, picking up his chair from the pile it had fallen into when he’d gone tearing out of the room to break up the battle between Nikki and Justin. “She’s just not available at the moment.”
Darling: -I do, but not the kind you’re thinking of, cousin,- he thought privately, but he smiled down at her as he turned. “Thanks, Sarah, but what I really need to do is just sit my butt in my chair and write. It’s nothing a good, steady session actually writing, rather than working on those files, won’t cure.” –And a good session doing nothing but holding a certain Earth/Shadow/Light Mage down underneath me…never mind that, boy, she’s busy.-
Mean things: Boy, where do I start? Knocked out, not being allowed to sleep with who they want, AND being stuck in sequel-hell with the agent about to call? Yep, it was mean things week.
Good things: nope. Not really.
