Bah. :P

I did wake up at 5:30 am this morning. To be more precise, I woke up at 5:25 am, when my alarm clock went off. I rolled over to listen to the news, and then realized that I'd fallen back asleep and they were doing the 6:30 am news now. *sigh* I hate Daylight Savings Time in the Spring.

However, I am determined to switch to this new schedule and so will NOT be changing the alarm clock. It might take me a while, but I WILL succeed!

We are busy at work today (duh, it's Monday). So I doubt I will write much until tonight. But we shall see.

Lunch now. Then more phones. Bleah. At least the day goes by fast.

starting line:
“It’s still standing?” Justin said, blinking. “I would have thought Alex would have razed it to the ground when she vanished.”

ending line:
The rose garden was flush with new growth, fragrant blooms nodding their heavy heads in the warm breeze.

darling:
“A bunch of stuffed shirts who have nothing better to do than run people’s lives,” Justin said sourly. “Not that I have any strong opinions or anything.” She gave him a disbelieving look and he sighed. “Okay, the Council of Nine is the ruling body of the Elemental Lords. Technically, they’re an advisory body to the StarChild, but they pretty much run the Lands, as much as anyone can. Trying to get a bunch of Elemental Lords to do anything together is a lot like herding cats, and almost as frustrating. They’ll listen to the StarChild, and pay lip service to the Council, but really, Lords are an independent bunch, and most of the time they do what they want.”

Wow, I'd forgotten how cynical Justin can get. :p

More tomorrow - still aiming for a 5:30 am wakeup.

Night, LJ.
