Okay, this is a real post this time.

First and foremost, thanks to the following for showing up on Saturday and helping me and [livejournal.com profile] argus7hills to move: [livejournal.com profile] jackoutofthebox, [livejournal.com profile] blue_vervain, [livejournal.com profile] amcnh, [livejournal.com profile] beard5, [livejournal.com profile] kuzushi, Baron Bil, Rick, Donna and Eric. You guys ROCKED!!! Thanks to you, we’re 99% moved in.

That being said, there’s always more to do, isn’t there?

So, our week has consisted of emptying boxes at the new house, going back to the old house, getting more of the little stuff packed up and brought over to the new house. Lather, rinse, repeat. I’m so tired. :p

And [livejournal.com profile] argus7hills has been doing more than me. He’s going tonight to get the last hose for the washing machine so he can hook it up tonight. Cable guy is coming tomorrow, so we should have internet by tomorrow night. Of course, I have NO idea where our router is, but what the hell. I have to get a wireless one anyways, because ours is NOT.

BUT, there is good news in that by tomorrow night, we should have TV, phone and internet at least on one computer. Yay!

More news: I’m doing the WOMAN challenge for May. Come and join me! It’s free, it’s good for you, and if enough of us do it, we can form a team! I’m walking the Rocky Mountains in my eight weeks.

Also, May 12th is the National Letter Carriers Association Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. Check with your local mail carrier and see if they’re participating. (Concord, NH is, according to Paul, my new mail carrier) If they are, please, please put out a bag of nonperishable items out for your mail carrier to pick up and donate. Let’s help out those in need.

The kittens love the new apartment. There have been no tumbles down the stairs yet, as far as I can tell. And they are thrilled with the porch. Hopefully I’ll have pictures soon.

And I lost another 3.8 lbs this week (go figure!). I'm almost down under 260!!!

Oh, and the Sox are 5-1 vs the Evil Empire so far this year. Happiness!!!

How’s everyone out in LJ land doing???

Welcome back, and welcome to your new house.

Just think next time (2 1/2 years away isn't it?) you'll be experienced and know what to do.

I'm glad the kittens eventually came out from under the couch.

The weight loss is stress related. So keep stessing and keep losing.

Hugs
Cat

Oh yes!

And yeah, they came out. Now we can't get them to leave us alone. :p

And in 2 1/2 years - I'm hiring movers!!! :p

Before you buy a wireless router

We had a finance meeting at the Baron's once, and Dorio had a wireless laptop. He found a local connection in the neighborhood that was open and he could link to the net through. You may want to check it out before you bother.

Re: Before you buy a wireless router

Yeah, but the connection isn't always there. We've have blank spots (over the last three days), and we need a new firewall/router anyways. So since I'm upgrading our router, I'm going to get a wireless one.
