I went to see my GI today, and got some really good news: as of today, I have been in remission now for 4 years.

FOUR YEARS.

In celebration, he took me off the Imuran, which was the one drug (it's an immunosuppressive) that I was worried about taking while pregnant. In addition, if I don't have any problems by my next appointment (in 3 months), he's going to start tapering my Pentasa, and he may even get rid of it completely.

Then all I'd be on is the Remicade, once every 8 weeks, and the Prilosec once a day.

Yippee!!!

Okay, I recognize Prilosec, of which I am a dedicated user, but... what are the rest for? I have not flipped back far enough to catch this info, apparently.

I have Crohn's disease. The Pentasa is an anti-inflammitory specifically for the intestines, and the Imuran is an immunosuppressive.

That's awesome hon! *hugs* I hope you continue to do well and I look forward to hearing that you are able to get off the other prescriptions. *hugs*

Thanks! I'm hoping by the end of summer, I'll not rattle as I walk! ;)
