Where did I get so much CRAP??? Yes, that means that today, after much whining, I attacked the mess that was pretending to be my office/sewing room.

As the Red Sox have fought off the Giants (still leading 9-5 in the 8th), I've battled the boxes. Now, you can walk through the center of the room without worrying that the boxes piled on the sides will cave in on you, and Cassandra has been set up on the desktop, so I can write. I'm contemplating leaving the desktop NOT hooked up to the internet, and just have both running on the desk (I have the room). But as Heracles is not even put together yet (I haven't had the time), I'll worry about that later.

So I'm taking a break to blog and catch up on email - then I'm going to attack the sewing table. Tonight, I'm going to write (almost done with the plotting form, so I can start outlining), and maybe hook Heracles together.

I like having an office again.

My workplace is making me go to a Mariners vs. Red Sox game on June 27th (we are located next door to SafeCo Stadium, so games tend to be involved in a lot of our events).

I'm not a sports person at all (I'm required to go to this game :P), but I always think of you when they talk about it.

Me, Imma bringing my AlphaSmart or at least my Nintendo DS and hoping the weather doesn't suck :p

Oooh, lucky!!!

To be perfectly honest (and they may make me turn in my card for this), I like watching the games on TV or listening on the radio rather than going to the games. I can follow it so much better! :)

But have fun!!!

I think watching in on TV would be better for me, because I'm not surrounded by tons of people (hate-hate-hate) and I can multitask without other people bothering me ;)

On a side note, I got a wild hair up my butt yesterday, and finally unpacked all the boxes and cleaned up my office last night.

... granted, we've been living here for a year ;)

LOL - okay, we've only been here about a month. I don't feel bad anymore!

I swear, my desk starts stacking up again 2 seconds after I've cleaned it, and I've got spaces that I just can't seem to get cleared out at all. On the positive side, I finally have enough trays and whatnot that it's fairly well organized even if cluttered, so I can pretty much find what I need when I need it. Used to be finding anything was a matter of picking the right stack (of many) and going through everything in the pile.

That plotting form really makes you think through the process of the book, doesn't it? If you ever want to see any of the other phases, let me know. I'd be happy to send all my A.C. pre-rough draft stuff if you want. Might skeere you though. ;)

It really does. It's cleared up a big chunk of ick I had in the first draft, although I'm a little irritated at one character who decided to totally switch personalities on me. *sigh* I've gotten a couple of requests for the form - do you mind if I share it? Properly attributed, of course.

Sure. Don't share the A.C. stuff though. You can also send them to the page where they can download it:

Has some basic instructions there too. Don't think I've changed the form since the day I uploaded other than to get rid of the interactions recently, but some people might find that section useful. :)
