A slight change of plans

Okay, so most people who know me know that I work nights. 3 pm EST to Midnight EST, Monday through Friday. Which is why I post late, and most people don't see me before oh, 11 am in the morning (I have about a 45-minute commute each way).

Well, not tomorrow. I'm leaving work tonight at 10 pm, and going home and going STRAIGHT to bed, because I need to be up at 7 am tomorrow. I have to be in at work and on the phones for 8:30 am, so I'm going to get up, take a shower, get dressed, drive in and have breakfast here (lunch too - it's just easier), and lots of caffeine. I'm thinking I was psychic when I picked up the big container of iced tea mix last night at Walmart.

Yup, working 8:30 to 5 tomorrow. So I'm going to be meeting Argus at Grand Buffett in Manchester, then off to the movie theatre. Hmm, what to see? I think I'm hitting the farmer's market and Fabric Fix on Saturday morning, and then Writer's Group! And Sunday I'm helping move stuff from Lebanon, still - yes?

Well, lots of writing tomorrow anyways. I'm hoping for a VERY quiet day.

Edit: Okay, so apparently there are no good movies coming out this weekend. Bah. (I want to see 1408, but in the privacy of my own home, so I can scream like the little girl I am.) I've IM'd him to see if he'd like to go bowling instead.

Is this a permanent change?

I like the concept of 9-5 shifts, because it means I can exist with the rest of the world, but I really loved when I worked 230-11pm. I got all my writing and errands done in the morning and then I trotted off to work like it was no big thang. Alas, my current job doesn't have those kinds of hours, and the Other Half doesn't care for my working those sorts of hours when I do have the option :( But I like my day job well enough and I love the Other Half, so I guess one compromises.

Can't deny the job change has definitely helped lead to the writing decrease in the last year, though :/

Just for tomorrow. I'm angling for a day job eventually, but this is just covering someone else's shift for the day.

And yeah, I'm a little worried about that - I write best at night, but hey. I'll deal.

No comments on the work hours since we know my hours are a little early, but I prefer watching horror movies at home too. Not because I scream like a little girl though, but because I yell insults at the characters if they do dumb things.

Oddly enough, this is only the case with horror movies. I never do this with any other kind of movie!

Pepsi, yeah. Had to give coffee up about 10 years ago. *sigh* But yes, I already have a 2-liter of pepsi at my desk for tomorrow.
