So while it's still fresh in my mind (thank you, [livejournal.com profile] suelder and [livejournal.com profile] pickled_herring for reminding me!), here is the link to the miracle plotting form I've been using recently. The form is a zip file off this lesson.

Thank you again, [livejournal.com profile] domynoe, for sharing this! I'm working my way through the rest of the lessons as well, and they're really informative.

Glad you like them! I've thought about putting my Novel Plotting lecture up, but I want to transform them into a how to book, so I've been keeping most of them offline. I DO need to get some new material up eventually though, so keep checking back. :)

And poke around the rest of the site too. I like visitors. ;)

Which reminds, I need to poke at the Anduiuar again. :)

You're welcome - thank you for giving me the link!

I'm definitely going to be poking around - I'm always looking for ideas for my site. :)

This is nifty. It's nothing like how I've done things, but it looks like it could be neat to try.

I like how elaborate it isn't.
This might help with what I'm working on, though I'll have to do one for each section, as well as an overall one.

On novels that I haven't had in my head for 20 years now, I've removed the character interactions section. Some things would just be nice to let happen. ;)

True.

I'm really impressed with what you came up with; I have a real problem with stories that tend to spread like molds, and this could really work well to channel them.

One of these days I'll have to relate the whole story behind A.C., which is the novel that started the whole plot building mess for me. ;)

From: [identity profile] domynoe.livejournal.com

ROTFL!!! Really, it's boooooooooring. Just suffice it to say, A.C. is nearly 20 years old -- it's first incarnation was on notebook paper in pencil, it's been almost canned something like 4 times (3 when actually trying to write it, once when trying to revise it).

NPB saved it and got me to a rough draft 17 years after I started it. And did it in 4 or 5 months time.

That's the nutshell version. The longer version features a writer who is slow on the uptake and who should have realized much sooner that she's not a linear organic writer. :P

That's why I like it. It's ultimately customizable.
