New toy!

Well, I'm now the proud owner of a QuickPad H45 - just picked up a used one on eBay for $17.00 (including postage). I'm still waiting to see on my NEC MobilePro, but this QuickPad looks pretty good too - 100 hours of battery life on 4 AAs, and it's pretty much like a little Alphasmart, from what I can tell. When I get it in, I'll let folks know what I think of it.

More later - gotta go make dinner so I can run down to Nashua and get my bracelet. After I get out of work, I'm picking up HP 7!!!!

And here is my prediction (no spoilers, as this is a spoiler-free zone and I haven't read any of the stuff online) for who bites it (since Jo Rowling has been saying for a year that she's killing off characters): Draco and Neville. I don't think she'll kill Harry, but she's been building Neville up. I think he dies and saves everyone.

Just my predicition. Next week, we'll see how close I was. :)

I'm spoiler free as well but I've always been torn between thinking either Ron or Neville will die. I flip flop depending on the day. It's either you have the one who's been built up or the one who's lived in Harry's shadow all this time.

Although, I don't know. She's built this series on him, and says she may write more in the future IN THE WORLD> She's never said she might write more HARRY.

Cool on the QuickPad! I hope it works out for you :) Close enough to an AlphaSmart without trying too hard to be a tiny laptop. 100 hours of battery life is good--it can be used day to day without daily recharging.

Nice deal on the quickpad, I might invest in one of those too. for 10 bucks and then 10 shipping I found a listing for a similair one.

Oh, and I know the real ending. Draco finally snaps, kills both his father and Voldemort more by accidental rage than real skill, and falls madly in love with Harry where they move to san francisco and get a split level ranch where they live out the rest of their days together as a couple.

I love it!!! But you forgot one part: They convince Ginny and Hermione to bear their children for them, and raise them in a Muggle-loving environment.
