Updates and word counts

Sorry I haven't updated in a while - I know many (if not most) of y'all are on my other LJ, but for those who aren't, Argus and I had to put Max to sleep yesterday. His cancer had progressed to the point that he wasn't able to eat anymore, and we didn't want him to suffer.

As I've done throughout this entire episode, I came home and wrote yesterday. If I couldn't write, I think I would have truly gone insane. As it is, I've been writing through tears more often than not, but I've been writing.

So I thought I would update my word counts. I got 980 done the other day, and another 680 yesterday. That brings the count up to:

16,592 / 125,000 (13.0%)

I'm trying to do at least 500 words a day, and that seems to be working well for me. Saturday I don't know how much I'll get done (we have a birthday party to go to) but we'll see. And Sunday I'm just going to write. I'll be home alone (Argus has his fantasy football draft to go to) so I'll be able to concentrate.

*bearhug* *sniffles* I'm so sorry. While it breaks my heart to hear it, I'm proud of you guys for doing the right thing and not letting him suffer.

I'm glad you're still able to write. It can help so much. That's some awesome progress you've been making. Keep it up!

Thanks. It's been really helpful to be able to write, and kudos to you as well on your progress! You're still ahead of me - gotta buckle down now and finish this, so I can gets me one of them agent thingies too. :p

Yes, it was. But it was for the best. Thanks for the good thoughts - we can use all the good thoughts we can get.
