And getting back into the groove.

My first week on nights reminded me why I love working nights - although I don't get to see my hubby very much during the week, I don't have to see 7 am either, and that makes me very happy. :) I am sooooo not a morning person. Or rather, I am - but it's late morning, when I don't need an alarm clock.

So now, I'm up on time (before 11 am) and have eaten a slice of cold pizza and gotten the laundry sorted. So chores are in motion, and I have time to start the other chores: writing and editing.

I need to get caught up on editing, so that's going to be the focus for the next week. But I don't want to lose any momentum on Belladonna either, so I'm aiming for an even mix. Today, though, is just editing, because I have to run out before work.

Also, before I go, I want to pass on a wonderful link that someone from my Stonemarche list passed on to me. This guy deserves as much publicity as he can get:

Now, off to edit! Goal today is two chapters.

My shift before I moved to swing STARTED at 5am. Imagine when I had to get up, not only to get READY, but to try to get a little writing in?

I'm a morning person, not a middle-of-the-night person :)

I'm glad to hear the night shift is working better for you.

5 AM????

Good lord, the only time I see that is when I've written through the night!

I don't know how you did it! O_o

Nights rock! Although, I'm usually awake most mornings too. They're just my evenings. Take most people's schedules and flip it around a hundred and eighty degrees, and that's mine. 6am is around dinner time in my mind.

Hope this continues to work well for you!

Groovy, baby! I'm glad nights are working out for you. I liked nights when I worked them, although long term you start to realize that you never get to have a tomorrow, it's always today. You sleep today, you go to work today, when you leave to go home you say to people, see you tonight. Tomorrow is the casualty of working nights. :)

Yaaay! Go get your goal!

And I know completely how it feels about early mornings. It's just not right. I work so much better at night!

LOL! I used to feel that way when I worked for the newspaper. Now I'm only about 90 degrees off from the rest of the world, but hey, that's a normal occurance for me.

The only casualty right now is that I don't get to see my hubby except when he's sleeping during the week. :( That I don't like. But this job will hopefully allow him to get a new one up here - which will make us both happier.
