So, I was at this wedding last night, and got to talking with some other writers. I know, shocking. :)

BUT, we were discussing a subject near and dear to my heart, NaNoWriMo. National Novel Writing Month, to those who don't know the acronym (and why not????). Write 50k in a month, on a new project.

Because I'm insane (like most writers) I have decided to do this. It's fun. It's wild.

If you're a Scadian, I invite you to join me. This challenge was posted on NaNo today:

To all and sundry who come across these words, greetings! I, Cassandra Hobbes, Captain of the Scorned Lady and proud member of the Barony of Stonemarche in the East Kingdom, do challenge you to the fun known as NaNoWriMo, and invite you to join with myself and various other Lords and Ladies as a team to conquer the Knowne World and bring our words to the masses!

Will you join me? Let me know....*evil laughter*

LOL - good for you! I should be skipping it - but I'm not. *sigh*

oh yes, it will be done
I have an idea percoalting, based on an awful song from the early eighties.

Yes, but that's a byproduct. 50k is the minimum for a novel - anything less is a novella. And it's not whether you win or lose - it's that you tried to do it.

This will be my third NaNo - I haven't finished one on time yet. But my first published novel wouldn't have happened if I hadn't done it.

Even though I am staying away from the challange... I look forward to hearing what it produces in all my writer friends. *g*

Ah, the insanity, the insanity.

Look forward to many rambling, incoherent posts from me. :p
